Help :(

Well, for my whole life my mum has never really spent much time with me. She's a rush in the morning, and we normally have an arguement every morning about how slow I get ready, even though I finish before her. She gets home from work late in the afternoon, cooks dinner and spends the rest of the night on the computer. I try to talk to her, but every time I do she doesn't listen and just gives me another chore so I go away. The only time she ever talks to me is pretty much when she's ordering me to do something. I'm desperate to spend time with her, I just want her to notice me, she's so obsessed with the computer. She probably loves it more than me. I try to spend time with her, but it never works. I asked about her mum, and her mum never really spent time with her either. So I guess that's why. People say I should try and spend time with her by doing thing she likes, but all she likes is sleeping! (she's got sleep apnea).I want to be close to my mum like everyone else. Please help.

I know you said you never really get to talk to her, but if you have tried telling her how you feel and talking hasn't helped, try talking to her in a different way, like you said that she spends nights on the computer, you could E-mail her telling her about it, it may sound silly, but i if she can spend most of the night on the computer, she has more than enough time to read your E-mail...
Or if you have any close family friends or if you know any of her workmates, you could try telling them about it and maybe they could tell her how it's affecting you...
I'm sorry that i don't know how to tell you how to make a better relationship with your mum, but i hope i helped you how to try and tell her what's bothering you.

Hope you and your mum can sort things out soon :)

best of luck :D

Thanks. :) I might try the emailing thing, I've thought about it before. I'm not sure I'll have to see how thing go. I might try to talk to her in person.
