Well, why is she so insistent that you have a job? Is it because she wants you out doing something responsible? That could very well be the case. If you hate the job so much, then talk to your mom. Don't be like, "MOMMMMM I HATE MY JOB I WANNA QUIT!!!!!" Be more responsible. Talk to her about this responsibly as opposed to typical teenage whining. Maybe if she sees responsibility, then she will be willing to make a compromise. Tell her how you really feel about this job, and offer to do something else perhaps, maybe something you enjoy. There are plenty of jobs out there in all different fields. You could do babysitting, you could tutor, you could try to be an assistant in a shoppe or at a library or in an art studio, or you could be an assistant coach... there are many options. So discuss this with your mother in a mature way, and maybe she will compromise. Good luck!

if you pursue something that you really want to go with, you are going to excel, and then you'll do fine for the rest of your life AND like what you are doing. so i think you should do this; try this job out for a week or so, and if you still feel the same way, talk to her about getting going for a job that you have more interest in.
