Advice Question

I need help, but not urgent.

I have a friend at school. She adores singing and sings all the time, she even has an entire album planned out of songs she's written. Her dream is to be a singer, and she's already started searching for record companies. Of course she'll have to wait, she's only 12. But here's the thing, which you've probably guessed: she's a bad singer. What should I do?

To be honest if she gets as far as talking to a record company and they listen to her sing they will be blunt and tell her like it is and then all you can do is be a good friend and comfort her when she is upset about it.

First of all, don't smoosh her dream. You should just let her go and let her experience what it feels like have a passion. You could break her in to pieces(internally) By saying two words: You Suck. Maybe let her thrive on her spotlight before you throw a tomato. Who knows? maybe later she could be recognized as a rapper, not a vocalist.

Second, Why do you ask such a question? Did she ask you how she sang( because that makes sense)? If not, no offence intended, I don't get really why you posted this... Everyone should have something to look forward to. Being a friend, you should just let her be and look on. In other words, just don't do anything about it. At least for now.

Hope that sorta answers your question. :/
