I don't think you need to be nervous. Remember at some point, she also had her period for the first time. I'm sure she'll understand. :)

look no need to shy abt all this stuff coz ur mom is also a girl.she also have periods .no need to shy in this.just sit with her when she is alone and tell her that have ur periods and no need to nervous......but u guys should be alone or tell her she is doing some work.it works my mom automatically knows that i have my periods

Don't be shy she is your mother you shouldn't be afraid to tell her anything in the world
So go tell her, don't be nervous. If your still nervous do it while your nervous you'll feel better after you tell her ;)

ok well u sart with hey mom. Wow its amazing how fast timeflys. I was just remembering those times were i was realy young then seeing how now ive grown and soon enough ill be becoming a young women. then later that day say omg i just relized when that happens ill start getting my monthly giftes. then the next day be like my when that does come should i let u know? then wait about till the end of the day and be like mom i kinda started.and then u have toldher.

shes you mum, she will explain all, of the things you need to know , or ou can tell a good freind. you are a woman now, and your mum is probably the best person, i do hope you 2 have a good relationship, for it can only be better, just do it in private, and dont feel ashamed, some mums do know best, happy shopping and happy learning with your new mum, for it should bring you two closer. mums and daughters need to be close, for they are two generations;-]
