My Brother's ex girlfriend is being really harsh. What does he do?

She said she cared more about the service men and women then Amy Winehouse's death. My brother agreed with her but she must have misunderstood and has declared him a hater of the service men and women. What does he do?

Obviously there has been a misunderstanding. It would be a good idea if he invited her round to his house, sat her down with a cup of tea and explained that what he said was stupid (if indeed he did say something idiotic) and apologise for it, and then explain what he really meant. I'm sure if she loves him enough she will understand and forgive him.
