Ryan Murphy is set to drop another insane twist on fans right in the middle of ‘American Horror Story’ season 6. ‘Roanoke’ will go in a very different direction starting in episode 6, the creator revealed in a new interview.

“You’ll see starting in Episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you’re watching is not what you’re watching,” Ryan, 50, told

Fellow creator Brad Falchuk, 45, said that season 6 can be broken down into three sections: Episodes 1-5, 6-9 and 10. “No matter what you think it is, it’s not that,” he admitted. “Episode six comes and you’re like, ‘Wait! What happened?\'”

There are tons of theories going around the internet about how the show is going to turn out. The

theme caught everyone by surprise, and many fans don’t believe the entire season will be focused on the show within a show. Ryan has stressed that all the seasons are connected, and Roanoke is

“My theory is that it’s all a hoax made up by the three amigos for money/a reality show similar to the countless hoax family hauntings through the 20th century. And we all know they could use the money. [Furthermore,] they aren’t very original. Most of their fake story is just a rehash of a famous haunted house in Los Angeles known as ‘The Murder House.’ Like, for example: a girl was murdered [by an older man] in the ‘Murder House’ wearing a nurse outfit… [Roanoke] just switched the roles! And in researching that house they probably saw crime scene photos of Mr. Montgomery’s shelves of morbid jars and decided to use this too! Lee probably would have had access to more extensive photos while she was on the force…Too bad that once they finish filming ‘Roanoke Nightmare’ they’re probably gonna find out soon that the stories they copied are true!”
