This is coming after the last article of my type ._.
Marie shifted in the den, different and strange scents filling her nostrils. This was not the usual smell of the nursery, it smelled more like... CloudClan! She was in CloudClan territory.
Opening her eyes, Marie saw her mother and den-mates no where in sight. "Momma?" She called. "Momma!"
"Hush, little one," a soft voice aroused her, gently licking her head. "Hollyshine saved you."
"Who?" Marie was now panicking, wanting to get home. The pale blue she-cat in front of her looked inviting, but Marie was desperate to see her own mother's face. "Take me home."
The she-cat shook her head. "You are not well, kit. You must sleep. Our medicine cat will treat to you."
Marie growled defensively. "If you will not take me, I will go on my own."
Picking Marie up by the scruff, the she-cat set her down next to her kits. "You are older than them," she said. "About a moon. Meet Softkit and Beekit." Softkit was a milky gray she-cat with amber eyes and Beekit an amber tom with two long black stripes down his back and golden eyes. They looked up at her.
"Hi," Marie whispered.
Beekit pawed at her. "You sure don't smell of CloudClan," he commented.
Softkit padded over, sniffing Marie. "She's FireClan."
Marie stepped back. "I'm still wary of all of you," she spat. "I want to go home, now!"
At Marie's wail, a large, muscular white tom looked inside the nursery. "Is everything alright, Skysong?" he asked.
"Yes, Whitestar," she purred. "Our kits are fine, but the one that Hollyshine brought here is a bit crabby."
Whitestar walked into the nursery, licking Skysong's head then turning his gaze to Marie. "What is your name?" he asked gently.
"Ma-Marie."
Whitestar smiled. "Why don't you sleep and we will bring you back when you awake?"
Maire quivered, shakily laying down in the far corner and closing her eyes. Eventually, after the sounds of scuffling paw steps stopped, Marie fell asleep.
"Come on," Hollyshine whispered to Swiftear, a burnt brown tom. "We can bring her now, but make sure she stays asleep."
Gently picking the kit up, Hollyshine walked carefully with Swiftear across the clearing. They did not want this kit in camp for too long, or else she might know where the camp is and how to get in. Padding lightly in-step with Swiftear, she trotted out the entrance and headed towards the river. She'd have to explain the the kit wandered onto their territory, and they had not stolen her. Would FireClan believe it?
Isabella was shrieking of fear and sadness. "My daughter is missing! My only kit! She's gone! Gone!" The black she-cat was turning in circles, frantically running around and sniffing all over to pick up a trace of her kit's scent. Her head shot up as she declared, "She has left the camp!"
Without warning, Isabella pelted out the entrance, Phineas not too far behind.
"D-do you think she wandered far?" The red tom's voice was crackled with fear. Isabella wasn't answering. She just kept running, faster than ever. The couple stopped at the river and sniffed the air. Marie's scent was there, but not fresh. There were small tufts of red fur on the branches in CloudClan territory. That set the parents off.
"CloudClan have stolen our daughter!" Isabella hissed. "Come on; I'm sure if we go over there and be nice they'll-"
"Being nice isn't always the answer," Phineas growled. "We may have to be hostile to get our child back. Let's go."
They padded across the slippery log, being careful not to slip. Just as they made it to the other side, a fluffy black she-cat and a burnt brown tom came up to them, holding a limp kit in their jaws.
It was Marie.
