Booth stared at Brennan strangely as she stared blankly at her office desk. After what seemed like forever, Brennan gasped. "What?" Booth asked anxiously. "Nothing" She said in a broken whisper. Her epiphany lasted long enough to know his intentions. "Lets... go to...dinner." Brennan said, her voice barley audible.
When they got to the restraunt, Booth asked for a more private place. When they both sat down, Brennan had a million questions on her mind. Instead, she only asked the most important one.
"Booth." She said, making her voice sound strong when it really wasn't.
"Yeah, Bones?"
"Why did you ask me on a...date?" She struggled for the last word. Booth raised one eyebrow. "There was something I wanted to ask you." He admitted. "Well, everyone thinks we are a couple, so... why can't we be one?" The words flowed out, like water coming down a waterfall. She gasped. She stood up. "Yes." was all she said. Booth stood up, and quietly said, "Lets go to your place."
The ride home was strange because of the akward silence. When they got to her apartment, she slowly turned the key in the lock. What the heck am I getting myself into?! She thought to herself. She walked in, and Booth followed behind her. She sat on the couch. So did he. "There was something I wanted to try," He said. He leaned in slowly, not wanting to mess things up. Booth then pressed his lips to Brennan's.
Nobody was prepared for Brennan's reaction.
She kissed him roughly, letting all the tension between them fade away. He then tried to force her mouth open. She gladly opened it. It was like this was the way they were suppose to be. Not as partners, but as a couple. Brennan got worried then, and manuvered out of the kiss. "Booth? Aren't we going to fast?"
"Don't you like going fast?" He asked in a sedutive tone.
For that, she had no answer.
