I was wondering, the last sentence in the book before Bree dies is, "I closed my eyes," & then nothing. I was wondering if you think this means there is no life for vampires after death, or if you think that was just where it ended?

I think it's just where it end's because human's are not at the top of the food chain, we are not only predators, we are prey. It's just like snake eat mice,they need food to survive. Humans are there food, they need to survive. What destroys vampires, wearwolves.

Just like when humans die, we do not ever truly know what happens to them. Or any animal, or in this case, a vampire. It cannot really be assumed either, otherwise it would cause controversy and debate so it is better just to leave it with 'nothing'. I think she was really just describing that she died right then and there. Lets say a human got shot in the head? They'd black out right? Their brain would turn off immediately. 'Then nothing'. Get it?
