I will say not all Edward fans HATE Carlisle, because they pretty much agree that the book is mainly on Edward and Bella. BUT, if they choose to dislike Carlisle, then that is their choice. It's not like all Jacob fans like his father as well, they just care more about Jacob. However, if someone hates Billy, then what can we do to really stop them? Everyone thinks differently. I simply love Carlisle, he in my opinion, should of been the main character,simply because he has more of a love story with Esme, then Bella and Edward will ever have. Sure Edward and Bella may love each other, find each other attractive...but Carlisle and Esme are meant to be simply because they love absouletly everything the other partner has to offer. And yeah I'm pretty sure they love how their lover looks, but they are more focused on being who they are with one another and loving them every second. Even if they are away.
So I am not trying to be mean here, but just because a Team Edward fan is a fan simply of Edward, doesn't mean she..or he..HAS to be a fan of Carlisle too. Only loyal and loving Team Carlisle fans should.

I AGREE!!!!!! COMPLETELY. Why? Well, here's my list: Carlisle is so charming and loving in the most devoted sense; he overcame his desire for human blood, he's a family man, he's beautiful, he's considerate of others, and he's compassionate enough to actually care for human patients. I adore him soooo much!!!!!!!! <3 :)

You are right, I would lay down my life for Team Carlisle, but if he hadn't created Edward, he wouldn't have to fight any battles over Bella. Food for thought.

With out Carlisle there would be no Edward, Esme, Rosalie, or Emmett. Alice and Jasper would have never met each other, Jacob wouldn't be a werewolf, and there would be no Twilight Saga. TEAM CARLISLE <3
