Everything in moderation. Too much of one thing is never good for you. Coffee has its pros and cons. If you're a drinker of alcohol, it is to be noted that coffee helps prevent cirrhosis of the liver rather substantially. If your heart is not in the best of shape, then yes one should watch how much caffeine they consume whether it be from coffee, soda or energy drinks. Coffee has some anti-oxidant properties so that's a plus. However, if you are anemic, coffee may prevent absorption of iron which may lead to you feeling tired (imagine that). So basically, if you are a healthy individual no worries, just don't go overboard. And remember there's always decaf :)
