"What the hell was with you at dinner?" Derek asked as he climbed in bed. "I don't know Derek! I was distracted. End of story." Spencer answered. "I think you were more than distracted." Derek muttered. Spencer was about to lose his temper. "I was off in another world somewhere too! Happy now?" he snapped. "Just get some sleep kid." Derek said not wanting to start an argument. Spencer was reluctant but did so anyway.
Spencer tried to dream, but couldn't. He was so distracted by that good one, he was desperate to have another one like it. Basically, his mind was clouded by distraction. Also, he was really tired as the hours grew later. Tonight wasn't a good night for Spencer. It wasn't a bad night either. It was just dreary. VERY dreary.
Around 3 AM, Spencer was awakened. It wasn't a nightmare that woke him. Nor the alarm. It was because of Derek snoring REAL loudly. Spencer put a pillow over his head trying to ignore the nuisance. He tried to go back to sleep, but the loudness kept him awake. He couldn't stand the noise anymore. He got out of his own bed and awakened Derek.
"WAKE UP!" he yelled. "Must you yell?" Derek asked sleepily. "Must YOU sound like an old scratched-up CD in a stereo?" Spencer asked back. "First of all, you had no right to wake me up! Second, I only snore when I'm sick." Derek stated in a cranky way. "Actually, because of how loud you were, I DID have a right to wake you." Spencer pointed out. Derek ignored this and went back to sleep. Spencer got back in bed and tried to dream a good dream.
The next morning, the boys were alittle fatigued as the went to the police station. "I can't believe I didn't have a dream last night!" Spencer said to himself. "I can't believe you woke me up last night!" Derek replied. "I apologize for doing so, but you just got too obnoxious." Spencer stated. "Obnoxious?" Derek asked kind of in a clueless way. "Yeah!" Spencer answered. "Also, there's something that I'd like to point out." he continued while on the subject. "What?" Derek asked.
"During the time we've been in Chattanooga, you HAVE been doing so a bit more frequently than usual." Spencer answered. Derek gave him a funny look. "So what you're sayin' is that I really snore?" he asked. "Well...Uh...You see..." Spencer stopped short not wanting to cause embarrassment. "I appreciate you not embarrassing me." Derek stated to drop the subject. HE found it not only embarrassing, but also awkward. Spencer let out a fake laugh. The boys got to the police station about a couple moments later.
