Critical Analysis of Twilight Question
I think this spot is great and glad that its a discussion spot than just haters. That being said, in the banner it explains how this group can help someone get away from all the crazy twilight hype. But doesn't creating this group spread the hype?

I thought the same thing when I first read it.
I think, in this sense, "hype" was meant to be some sort of synonym for "idolization".
From my observations only, people who say they don't like the hype surrounding Twilight aren't at all against talking about it in a negative way, writing detailed, extensive articles telling people why they should stop enjoying the series, or reading all about it, nitpicking at every detail, construing most to make them look inaccurate.
I don't think they realize that's hype too.

I think when she says "get away from all the hype", she means escape all the "Twilight is the worst book EVER!" or "OMG Twilight is da best thing EVAH!1!!1!" that is just about every Twilight-related clubs/sites. Instead of doing pointless bashing of Twilight, we actually have intelligent discussions/debates on why Twilight is good/bad.
