Critical Analysis of Twilight Answers

*Ii initially attracted my attention because I saw Robert and Taylor on the Tyra Banks show. I thought what they were saying about the first movie was interesting. What attracted my desire to read it was the vampires. It didn't seem like a book about monsters, which I appreciate. The uncontrollable monster aspect is the only thing I don't like about vampire literature.

*The book are much better. There's much more description and detail and much more insight into the characters.

*Yes, I read all four. If I were to generalize, I would say people are attracted to the love story, or more specifically, how much attention Edward selflessly showers her with attention. In real life, if I were to generalize again, guys don't usually shower a girl with that much attention unless they want something specific in return. Not necessarily a bad something, but something nonetheless. It's always nice to read about a guy behaving in a way you want him to, without being a complete pushover/submissive.
As for people who aren't into attention, it could be almost anything. The sci-fi aspect, the mild horror aspect, the historic aspect.

ok the books are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better for me! the first movie was ok but the others.... anyway! the books are very romantic and they're perfect especially for teen girls! immortality is sth that could attract almost everyone i'd say, combined with the love of a beautiful vampire who falls in love with an ordinary girl... they can't live apart but at the same time edward loves bella so much that he could do anything to keep her safe! it's beyond someone's imagination i'd say, as it isn't about a common love triangle.. for sure!! books transfer the reader to a different ... world! it's great! i don't think i've helped you much but... i tried!! :P

How I was attracted
I was 13, it was 2008, the first film was about to come out, and Twilight was EVERYWHERE. I decided to check it out. I ended up really liking it. I thought it was interesting and unique.

Is The Movie Better Than The Book?
Yes and no. Yes because the movies get right to the point and the books drag on and on (not to mention the bad writing). No because the acting is horrid (even though the actors aren't bad). They're inaccurate. They consist of mostly blank stares, slow motion of entrances (like Mean Girls), and shirtless Taylor Lautner (whom I hate).

Did I read the books?
Yes

What do you think attracts people to Twilight
Bella doesn't really have much of a personality so young girls are able to make almost put themselves in Bella's shoes. Bella's an average girl who gets the hot Volvo-driving (cause nothing says I'm so awesome like a soccer mom car), and total babe (which is what girls want). Plus, girls are all for that ushy gushy "I love you" every five seconds type of romance.

i personally can't say that the book is better than the movie or the other way around. what i like about the book is that the detail is amazing. and i can make up the scenery and the characters.
For many years i had criticized Twilight, but i bought Twilight and i couldn't get through 1 chapter. then in 2012 i was bored 1 night and Twilight was on the tv, so i decided to watch it. And i loved it!!!!!
i had always been attracted to vampires since i was 4 years old, and watching twilight just blew my mind away. i am not sure if it was the romantic story line or Robert Pattinson's good looks. But i am hooked.
I think the hole romantic thing is what teenagers love. but for me it was a combination of the romantic story and the whole vampire thing
