Anything that strikes your fancy using anything that strikes your fancy. Don't limit yourself to pens and pencils on paper; there are countless other things you can use, paints, pastels, and even more unusual things like spaghetti, chocolate sauce, and salt.
Drawing from life is probably one of the best things you can do to practice drawing, but if cartoons or anime take your fancy, then of course that works too. <3
It sounds crazy but pencils. They are really interesting if you draw them in detail. Honestly though, I draw a lot of one direction cuz I love me. Ballerinas are really fun to draw to. Just dance in general
Anything, really. For me, I mostly love to draw Yoshi, Birdo, and any character from My Little Pony. Trixie was a little tough to draw, but took my time.
you could draw famous cartoons like mickey mouse, the avengers as cartoons, TV characters...etc.
Or you could draw the outside world like a lake, a tree, a caterpillar, and so on.
Really whatever your heart desires.
Lord of The Rings + The Hobbit are my favorite movies I draw charecters from these and I have gotten. I also draw sonic charecters cause I am good at those! Draw what is in your heart. Art is the stored honey of the heart!
