Epismatic Write Whatever!

Just as the title says. If you happen to stumble upon this, write whatever comes to your mind! It can be anything, a story, a poem, a frickin' journal entry if you want. This is a place where creative juices can flow, and there are no rules as to what kind of content you post, so long as it's your own creative work.

Let's see how long we can make these posts.

It was a typical day in New York City. People were walking down the sidewalks, and cars crowded the streets, but in front of a coffee shop, a man was sitting, while typing on his laptop.

The rest of this intro is a montage of my Trainz characters.

Milford, New Jersey

Frank: *Walking into Milford with his wife Martha after crossing the Delaware River from Upper Black Eddy*
Martha: After living in Detroit, I must say this is a better experience.
Frank: I think so too.

They were walking past a bakery, when they saw a blue blur pass them.

Martha: What was that?
Frank: I don't know, but it looked like he went to the right. Come on. *Goes to the right, with Marsha following*

After two minutes of walking, Frank, and Marsha saw a brick house on the left. The blue blur they saw earlier passed them again, going into the house.

Frank: Let's go in.
Martha: Are you sure?
Frank: Yes. *Holds Marsha's hand, and walks in the house with her*
Martha: *Looks at a flat screen TV* No one's here.
Frank: Maybe it's downstairs. *Walks with Marsha into the kitchen. There, they turn left, going downstairs. They find another set of stairs going down, and take another left*

Once they got downstairs, they saw a vintage Philips TV set, with a built-in VHS, and DVD player next to a Vizio flat screen. They also saw a table with model trains on it, and behind the table, hot wheels and matchbox cars on a playmat, looking like a miniature city. Then, they turned their attention to another person in the room, sitting on a bed, typing on his Dell laptop.

Sean: *Looks at the two people* Hi guys, my name is Sean, and welcome to my place. What brings you here?
Frank: We saw this blue blur.
Martha: And it came here.
Sean: You mean Sonic?
Sonic: *Appears next to Frank, and Marsha*
Sean: He's part of another fan fiction I'm writing.
Frank: Fan fiction?
Sean: You don't know what fan fiction is? Well let me show you. Since the Halloween of 2012, I've been writing this stuff every day.

He walks upstairs to the kitchen carrying his laptop, and Frank, and Marsha follow him.

Sean: *Sits down at a black table* Go ahead you two, take a seat.
Frank & Martha: *Sit to the left of Sean*
Sean: Fan Fiction has been around for a long time. Star Trek fans started it back in the 1960's, so it's been around for 50 years, give or take. *Hits the numbers on his keyboard going from 1 to 9*

A trap door opened up below them, and the three of them went down a slide.

Frank & Martha: Whoa!!!!
Sean: *Enjoying the ride down the slide*

At last, we reach a long corridor. Ponies, and Sonic characters walk pass each other, along with a few other characters from other fan fictions.

Pierce Hawkins: *Passes Sonic* How's it going Sonic?
Sonic: Good, good.
Frank & Martha: *Staring in amazement*
Sean: What you're looking at are characters from my fan fictions.
George: *Passes between Larry Wilcox, and Knuckles*
Knuckles: How come you're a pony with a curly blonde mane, and glasses?
Larry: How come that human we passed was in Black & White?
George: I'm from a fan fiction that was written in 2012!
Sean: Adopted. One of my first fan fictions that took place in reality, with an all human cast. *Walks forward with Frank, and Martha* It was good, but I've done better.

Song: link

Sean: *Walks into another room* Much better.
Frank & Marsha: *Looking around*
Sean: The antagonists all like to gather here sometimes.
Gordon: And I was killed off! Just like that!
Shadow: But, you were feeling suicidal during your later episodes. Isn't that why you left Ponies On The Rails in episode 91?
Gordon: Shut up you hedgehog.
Mr. Bruce: *Looking at bar glasses in front of him as he is behind the bar* All I am is a megaphone! What am I supposed to do, to get the drinks prepared around here?!
Donovan: How did you even get this job?
Mr. Bruce: Don't ask.
Eggman: *At the front of the bar with a Tommygun. He shoots twenty bullets at Sonic, and Tails. All of them miss*
P.T. Boomer: *Walks up* You're never going to kill those two. Are you?
Eggman: Hey! You're terrible with a gun too!
P.T. Boomer: I was being bad for the director!!!!! The only antagonist in this bar that's good with a gun is me! P.T. Boomer!!!
Buick Baltimore: *Walks in*
P.T. Boomer: Look at that. Another character from a Thomas Fan Fiction. *Walks over to him*
Eggman: Thank goodness. He was annoying.
Frank: I don't want to be here anymore.
Martha: I'm scared we'll be shot.
Sean: It's alright. You're with me. Hi everyone!

The music stopped as every antagonist looked at Sean, Frank, and Martha.

Mr. Bruce: Well look at what we have here folks! It's our creator!!
Antagonists: Hooray!!!

And the music started again from the beginning.

Sean: Want a drink?
Frank: Depends. What do you have?
Sean: Anything you can think of. Except coffee, tea, iced tea, and lemonade. We have half & half though.
Martha: I think I'll just take water.
Frank: Me too.
Sean: Whatever. *Walks with them to Mr. Bruce*
Mr. Bruce: Hello Sean, what can I get you?
Sean: Two waters, and a root beer.

The drinks popped up out of nowhere.

Mr. Bruce: Did I do that?
Sean: I guess so. *Drinks his root beer* Once you finish, we'll move onto the next part of our tour.
Frank & Martha: *Drinking their water*
Fuku: *Walks in with Charlie*
Antagonists: It's Victor-Charlie!!!
Fuku: No no, my real name is Fuku!!! I'm Japanese!!
Antagonists: *Beating up Fuku, and Charlie*
Charlie: Why do I hang out with you?!?!
Frank & Martha: *Finish their water*
Sean: Good just in time. Let's go before we do end up getting shot.
Mr. Bruce: The back door is unlocked.
Sean: Thank you. *Walks with Frank, and Martha to the back door*

We walk to a room that says Talking Vehicles.

Frank: What are we doing here?
Sean: Just walking through to the next section.

Song (Start at 10:36): link

Dylan: *With Will, Perfection, and Jackson at a dock* Sean, what's happening buddy?
Sean: Not much. How are things going for you, and your friends?
Dylan: Not bad.
Unit 1: *Heading towards Dylan, and his friends with Jordan, and Kara*
Dylan: Let's split! *Leaves with Jackson, Perfection, and Will*
Sean: Speed boats. *Walks with Frank, and Martha*

Stop the song

Sean: *Looks at a train track in front of them*
Jerry: *Pulling a freight train with Jesse*
Sean: When STH productions pulled out of the MLP fandom, most people thought I would end my fan fiction writing career. Well, they're wrong. *Watches the train pass them* Since 2014, a new series began shortly after I began writing The Adventures Of Thomas & Friends. It started off as a spin-off, but over time, it became something bigger.
Austin: *Going 75 miles with six passenger cars*
Sean: References to other shows, classic movies, and even a few adult innuendos, Trainz became my pride, and joy.
Frank: Hold it. You said you left the MLP fandom. What for?
Sean: Let's watch a clip of one of my fan fictions to find out why.

2021

Sean & Nik: *Laying on the slope next to the train track*
Kyle & Britton: *Hiding behind a feed mill near the trees*
Sean: They won't see us here.
Nik: Good.
Sean: *Hears the convoy* Here they come.
S.G Bronies: *Letting the tanks go up first*
Sean: Tanks?
Nik: Restored Tiger Tanks.
Kyle & Britton: *Watching from behind the feed mill*
S.G Tank Man: *Moves the turret to the right*
Britton: Crap, I think we were spotted.
S.G Tank Man: *Begins to play music out from the loudspeakers on the tank*

Song: link

Kyle: Oh crap, they're playing music!! *Runs away with Britton*
S.G Tank Man: *Moving towards Kyle, and Britton*
Sean: Head closer to the river, I'll distract them.
Nik: *Runs to the Delaware River*
Sean: *Shoots five S.G Bronies, and throws a C4 charge at a tank, detonating it at the rear of the tank*

Two Fusions blew up when the charge went off, putting more damage onto the 3rd tank

S.G Tank Men: *Moving backwards, running over some of their own men*
Gergely: *Gets out of Alinah's Mustang* What the bloody hell is this rubbish?!
Dan: *Arrives with Jade in another Mustang* Alright, I'm going to take out those-
Jade: *Knocks Dan out with her MP40* I don't think so. *Gets out of the Mustang, running towards the battle*

Song: link

Nik: *Fires a grenade, destroying the 3rd tank*
S.G Tank Men: *Their path is blocked, so they cannot go backwards* We are stuck! We cannot go backwards!
Kyle: *Throws two grenades, damaging the first tank*
Britton: *Fires a grenade, destroying the first tank*
S.G Tank Man: *Stuck in the 2nd tank* I cannot move at all!! *Gets out of the tank*
Britton: *Shoots him*
Sean & Nik: *Laying down side by side, shooting S.G bronies running towards them*
Sean: So now you understand why I left the fandom?
Nik: Yeah.
Jade: *Walking over to Gergely* Where are they?
Gergely: Our soldiers spotted Sean, and Nik over there. There's two others, we don't know where they are, or who they are. Thanks for getting Dan earlier.
Jade: The pleasure is all mine.
Alinah: Erotic pleasure, or normal pleasure?
Jade: Shut up Alinah.
Kyle: *Running to Sean, and Nik with Britton*
Britton: Where will we go?
Kyle: After getting the other two, we'll make them think we're running away, but ambush them on this trail.

End clip.

Sean: In short, the hype for one character, Starlight Glimmer, became too much, and Jade's sexual attraction to the show also contributed my departure from the fandom. Most of her sexual actions were evident in shipping.
Frank: I see.
Sean: On the My Little Pony club, as soon as the new icon was created with Starlight Glimmer, the idea for 2021, and it's antagonists came to my mind. It became a success. Let's move on. *Walks with Frank, and Martha*

Song: link

Makenzie: *Blows her whistle twice*
Sean: *With Frank, and Martha* Looks like we made it just in time to watch Makenzie take off with her train, but everything, and everyone is still getting on.
Passengers: *Getting in the passenger cars*
Workmen: *Putting three coils of wire into a gondola*
Crane Operator: *Drops coal into the coal car*
Porter: *Putting mail into the mail car*

A boxcar was behind the mail car, and was being loaded with watches. Behind that, the second passenger car, and the caboose.

Frank: Can we hurry this up?
Sean: Sure. After all we have a tight budget.

Stop the song.

Everything, and everyone is ready.

Conductor: All aboard. All aboard!
Makenzie: All aboard. *Blows her whistle twice. Her first attempt on pulling her train has her wheels slip a quarter of a way. The second attempt has her do the same thing. On the third attempt, her wheels spin very quickly, and went around forty times. She tries five more times, then she gets it moving* Woohoo! *Her wheels slip slowly at first, but then they slip fiercely as she pulls her train.

Song: link

Sean, Frank, and Martha: *Watching Makenzie leave with her train*
Makenzie: *Passing a lot of people*
People: *Waving at Makezie*
More People: *Sitting in lawn chairs watching Makenzie pass while drinking lemonade*
Sean: *On top of a hill with Frank, and Martha*
Martha: What are we doing here?
Sean: Watching the same train go up here.

Stop the song

Makenzie: *Begins to go up the hill, and her wheels slip* I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can I think I can. *Her wheels slip faster* I think I can I think I can. *Her wheels continue slipping, even faster* I think I can, I... *Makes it up the hill, still slipping as she gets the rest of her train to the top* Thought I could, I thought I could I thought I could I thought I could I thought I could. *Blows her whistle twice, and stops her wheels slipping*
Sean: It's always great to see Makenzie giving it all she's got to get over this hill. Nothing can stop her from that.
Frank: She's small, but tough.
Sean: Well, let's move onto something else. *Walks with Frank, and Martha*

Song: link

Meanwhile, at a place full of Nazi flags.

Jade: *Watching her workers make shipping fan fictions*
Workers: *Tired, and feeling miserable*
Worker 94: This girl is from Mississippi, how come she supports the Nazis?
Worker 66: It's just her interest in shipping.
Jade: Everyone will love shipping, and be sexually attracted to My Little Pony, just like me!
Worker 74: *Walks into Jade's office*
Jade: *Turns off the music* What?
Worker 74: SeanTheHedgehog is at it again.
Jade: What do you mean?!
Worker 74: He's made another successful fanfic.
Jade: Unacceptable! We must find his headquarters in New Jersey, and steal his fan fictions, claiming them as my own!
Worker 74: Yes ma'am. I will get the helicopter ready for you.

Back at STH studios.

Frank & Martha: *With Sean*
Sean: From this moment on, you will now refer to me as S.B. There's another Sean here, and it would be confusing if you called me Sean too.
Martha: Okay.
Frank: Whatever you say S.B.
S.B: *Walks with Frank, and Martha to the Eastern Pacific roundhouse* And here's the other Sean, with silver paint, and red, white, and blue stripes.
Sean: Kinda like your Sonic character, huh?
S.B: Only he's grey, not silver.
Sean: They're similar colors though.
Ian: He's right. You're not very original with creating characters, are you?
S.B: I came up with the idea to create the both of you years ago in 2009. Only, my Sonic OC was created before. He was featured in many excellent fan fictions, from the Hedgehog In Ponyville stories, to every Sonic fan fiction I wrote over the years.
Ian: That's great, but it doesn't answer my question.
S.B: Well if you must know, I'm very good at creating characters. Keep in mind that I created you, and I'm also a character in this show, as well as some of my recent fan fictions.
Frank: Really?
S.B: Yes. 2021, Six Shooters, The Challenger, Norfolk & Western, I play as the main protagonist in those stories.
Martha: And you're also a character in Trainz?
S.B: You bet. I'll show you a clip of something drastic that happened to me in one episode.

Episode 52: Hide And Seek

Narrator: Mr. Baldwin explained everything to me shortly after I arrived.
S.B: You want me to go find your son?
Mr. Baldwin: Yes. It is of utmost importance that you find him.
S.B: You can count on me. *Gets into his car, and drives away*

Song: link

Narrator: It would take me a while to get to Hunterdon. I had to take the long way since the main road was crowded. One good thing about taking the long way was that the road was parallel to the train tracks of the Eastwood & Mossberg.
S.B: *Looks at a picture of Mr. Baldwin's son on his car's dashboard* He said his son's name was Julian. Where could Julian be? *Starts going up the hill*
Narrator: The road went away from the tracks, but as it got towards the top, it would get closer to the tracks.
S.B: *Reaches the top of the hill, and hits the brakes to show his car down, but they don't work* Oh great.
Narrator: I don't know why I said that. It wasn't great.
Audience: *Laughing*
S.B: Oh no. *Honks his horn, and opens the window on his door* Look out!! I lost my brakes!!
People: *Staying out of the way*
S.B: If I survive this, I'm never driving down hills again.
Person: *Walking across the street*
S.B: Look out!!! *Honks his horn, but he has to swerve away from him. He goes off the road, and crashes his car*

Stop the song

Narrator: My car landed on it's roof, right on the train tracks.
S.B: *Gets out of his car, his forehead has a cut, and his nose is bleeding. His shirt also has a hole on the left sleeve. He looks at the brakes on his car* Where were you when I needed you?!? *Sits on the ground, leaning on his car*
Narrator: Stupid brakes. Oh well, I guess that's why they're called brakes.
Audience: *Laughing*

---

S.B: I'm also the narrator of Trainz, but let me tell you, after that accident, I'm glad Mily came to the rescue.
Frank: Mily?
Martha: Is she another person like you?
S.B: Nope. She's an engine. A blue pacific with the number 425. A very cheerful engine, but she often struggles with her trains. Nevertheless, she still gets her jobs done on time. I remember one time she had to pull 32 coaches to another station. Most of the coaches were left behind from another train, but the engines that left their train behind by accident, were on their way to go get it.

Episode 47: Thirty two Coaches For Ballantine

Narrator: Now today was not a good day for the Eastwood & Mossberg Railroad. More than half of the engines were being repaired in the shops, and the only shops that weren't crowded were in Eastwood. Mily was heading to Jazlin's train when she saw one of the coaches from Margaret, Sarah, and Megan's train. The last coach was on top of the hill, so she couldn't see the others.
Mily: *Puzzled while smiling as she approaches the coach* Who the heck left you here? *Couples up to it, and tries to pull it back to the yards. She doesn't know there are twenty four coaches coupled up to the one she's trying to pull, and her wheels slip* Something doesn't seem right here. *Uncouples from the coach and backs up*
Narrator: When Mily got to the nearest switch, she went onto the next track, and went alongside the train.
Mily: Twenty five coaches just sitting here. This doesn't make sense. *Looks at Jazlin's train* And Jazlin's coaches are at the station. That means there's thirty two coaches here. *Stops next to Jazlin's train*
Station Master: *Sticks her microphone out of the station* Ah Mily, you made it. Now you can get Jazlin's train to Ballantine Station.
Mily: Okay, but there's twenty five coaches on the hill behind us.
Station Master: Really? Bring them here.
Mily: What about Jazlin's train?
Station Master: You can pull it with the other twenty five coaches.
Mily: *Her eyes widen in horror* The twenty five coaches, plus Jazlin's? That's thirty two coaches, I'm not strong enough to pull that.
Station Master: Then you'll have to wait for help.
Mily: Yeah, I already know that.
Audience: *Quietly laughing*
Mily: *Goes back to get the other coaches*
Narrator: Even though there were twenty five coaches to push, they were going downhill. Mily had no trouble getting the twenty five coaches coupled up to Jazlin's train. Now all she had to do was wait for help.
Mily: *Coupled up to the front of the train* I hope this doesn't take too long.
Station Master: If it does, you'll have to pull this train.
Mily: Ha. Good one.
Station Master: I was serious.
Audience: *Laughing*
Mily: And now you've made me very nervous.
Audience: *Laughing*
Narrator: Margaret entered Ballantine Station with Megan and Sarah. It was there, they realized that they left their train behind.
Sarah: How could this have happened?
Megan: Don't ask us, you're the one that was coupled up to the train.
Audience: *Laughing*
Margaret: But arguing about it won't solve anything. Let's go back, and find our train. *Going backwards toward their train*

At Angler Station

Mily: *Her wheels slip as she tries to pull the thirty two coaches*
Narrator: The station master was forcing Mily to try, and pull the train. Which is very pointless, because it's too heavy for her.
Audience: *Laughing*
Narrator: But the station master doesn't seem to know this.
Mily: *Tired, and stops trying to pull the train*
Station Master: Who told you to stop? Put your back into it.
Mily: I have tried my hardest pulling this train, and I don't have a back!
Audience: *Laughing*
Station Master: Well keep trying anyway. I'm taking a nap. *Falls asleep*
Mily: *Closes her eyes, and sighs*

---

S.B: Margaret broke down, but Megan, and Sarah were able to get the train moving with Mily.
Martha: Why was the station master acting like an idiot?
S.B: Don't ask me, I didn't hire her.
Frank: But you created the character that hired her on her railroad.
S.B: I don't know where Ms. Scarlett gets her employees. This is the final part of our tour, so let me escort you outside.

Outside of the house, Jade was with two men wearing Nazi uniforms.

Jade: We are the Shipping Nazis! Come out right now with your hands up!
Sean: *Goes up an elevator with Frank, and Martha. The elevator takes them to the garage*
Frank & Martha: *Walks out of the elevator followed by Sean*
Frank: Thanks for everything Sean.
Martha: Yes. That was the best tour I ever had.
Sean: I'm glad. To the left here, and follow the street down to where you were before you saw Sonic pass you.
Jade: There he is with two others.
Shipping Nazis: *Shooting at them with MP40's*
Sean: Better yet, go around the right. *Pulls out a Smith & Wesson 500*
Frank & Martha: *Run around the right side of the house*
Jade: Go find him.
Shipping Nazis: *Walk towards Sean*
Sean: *Shoots both Shipping Nazis*
Jade: *Scared*
Sean: Jade?!!? Get the fuck out of here, unless you want to end up dead too!!
Jade: *Runs away*
Sean: *Watches Jade run away* Well, I wanted to keep the F-bomb out of this fan fiction, but it looks like I messed that up.

Colorful.
If I had to describe the legendary Cat's studio as anything, it'd be that. Insanely colorful, and also disorganized. Though I guess I wasn't one to talk on that front. Still, even Elthea had to admit I wasn't as bad as all this.
There were piles of papers upon papers scattered across the floor. I had to step carefully in order to avoid slipping. Some sheets were crumpled, some were flat, others had paint-stains and even footprints. My guess is Cat had trampled them without even realizing it. Well, it's impossible not to.
Different colors of paint streaked across the carpet, and even left spots on the walls, as if Cat had been aimlessly shaking her brush and letting it splatter everywhere. Jeez, I thought, removing my hand from a table speckled with wet drops of color. How messy is this artist?
Still, I had to admit... The art plastered all over the place was pretty impressive. From what I could tell, Cat seemed to specialize in landscapes and portraits, painting them all in strange and fantastical colors. Each one seemed to pop from the canvas, as if trying to escape the frame. Overall, they were creating a distracting, even disorienting effect. That could have been intentional, for all I knew.
But I had a job to do. We needed Cat's help.
I sighed, running my fingers through my hair absentmindedly. She had to show eventually. Until then, my eyes flicked back and forth from painting to painting.
A lake shining with prismatic colors, orange clouds like cotton-candy... Mountains resembling cool-colored icicles facing straight upwards... And people's smiling faces, decked in all colors of the rainbow. It was a bizarre and beautiful gallery of what I could only describe as all the colors and shapes in an artist's head. "Do you like them?" giggled a musical voice behind me.
I didn't even have time to turn. The frizzy-haired painter skipped out in front of me, trampling across papers with a crunching sound. She held a wet paintbrush in her hand, which sprayed droplets of strong-smelling purple all over the floor. A few splattered against my cheek and littered my shirt. Cat seemed entirely oblivious to the mess she was making, continuing to wave the brush around as she bounced on her heels.
"Oh. Yeah, you did a great job on these," I told her, gesturing around the room.
"I know I did." Cat placed her hand on her hip, tapping her chin with the wooden end of her paintbrush. More purple drizzled its way down to the ground, staining the crumpled papers even further. "Still, I always wonder if I could do better... " Cat mused aloud, eyes staring off at nothing in particular.
Then she snapped back to attention. "Oh, right, you probably didn't come here to talk about my painting skills! Though I certainly wouldn't object if you did," she added coyly.
"Another time, maybe." I laughed. "I'm not exactly a professional art critic or anything. No, I was here about something else."
"Something else?" Cat adjusted her spectacles as she stared at me. I could feel her eyes travelling over my form, analyzing my every detail. I wasn't self-conscious by nature, but the attention was practically burning a hole into me. I couldn't help but shift from side to side slightly.
"Yes, exactly. Something else," I said, determined to break the silence. "Word travels through the grapevine, you see." I had a feeling she would love the flowery language, and if there was ever a time for buttering somebody up, this was it. I continued, "And I've heard from some reputable sources that you-"
"There!" Cat exclaimed suddenly, almost making me leap a mile into the air. "There, there, there!"
"Hold that pose!" She brandished her paintbrush at me like a sword, splashing me with more purple paint.
"I, uh... " I had no choice but to hold as still as possible.
Cat exhaled deeply. "That's perfect, But look more moody, like you're somebody with some dark secrets... " She gave a mischievous tiny smile. "You look like a heartbreaker, you know. The type who rides around on a motorcycle and makes girls long for you."
I blinked, at a loss for words. "... Thank you, I guess?" Is that really a compliment? I decided not to question her.
Cat had already hunkered down in front of her canvas and was slashing her paintbrush across it like a madwoman.
"S'cuse me, uh, I was actually trying to ask you something," I tried, but I might as well have been talking to a brick wall. Cat's laser-tight focus remained on her canvas for a few moments more, before she straightened up with a sigh of relief.
"Done, got that one out! I'll fix it up later, but if I didn't do that, it was going to drive me insane," she rambled. "Anyway, you were saying?" she went on innocently.
Regaining my train of thought, I started again firmly, "I heard you can make your paintings come to life. I also heard that you know a thing or two about banishing evil spirits. Well, we've got a pretty nasty case that we're dealing with in the house we're staying at, not too far from here," I explained.
"The damn thing's settled itself in our paintings, and we've tried everything to get rid of it. Throwing out the paintings, destroying them... Nothing works. They just appear again the next day like clockwork."
I eyed Cat, who was nodding vigorously as I talked. I couldn't tell if she was really listening as intently as she seemed. "So... Think you could hook us up and take care of it?" I finished.
Cat's nodding grew slower, and her eyes narrowed. She remained silent. I couldn't tell what she was thinking as she studied me. For all I knew, she could be off in her own wo-
I was cut off as Cat suddenly withdrew something from her pocket and lunged at me with it. "Agh!" I gave a brief cry of pain, as something sliced my arm.

It doesn't really have one yet. Just kinda a little foray with characters I've had for a while.

Black blood oozed from the cut, trickling down. Cat gazed at it with intensity. "Just as I thought... "
She held a pocketknife in her hand, which was now slightly stained with black. "Hey!" I gripped my arm, glowering at her. "What the hell was that about?"
Cat didn't respond for a few moments, instead bending down to retrieve a messy rag from the floor. She handed it to me immediately. "Here."
I took it, and started wrapping it around the cut. "What was the point of that in the first place?" I snapped, incensed.
Cat's eyes had a new feverish light behind them. Rather than answer, she whispered in awe, "You're a shifter, an honest-to-god shifter... I've never come face-to-face with one before."
"I'd consider that a good thing," I mumbled.
"No, no, don't you see?" She gripped my shoulders, causing me to flinch. "You're just what I need! The perfect model, who can take on any form I ask!"
I wasn't sure I liked the sound of that, but I saw an opportunity.
"Exactly. Sooo, what if I modeled for your art, and in return, you take care of the spirits in our house?" I offered. "Sound like a plan?"
Cat pursed her lips together, tapping her brush against her chin again, considering my words. I expected her to lash out again suddenly, and sure enough, when she leaped back to attention, I saw it coming and stepped back from her spraying paintbrush. "Deal!" Cat declared. "You've got yourself a deal, shifter!"
"It's Sivleo," I told her pointedly. "But great! How soon can you come?"
Cat waved her finger. "Just let me gather my kit up, and I'll be right with ya!"
"Sure thing," I said. I watched her scamper from place to place, grabbing seemingly random items off the ground and shelves. "Uh, your art kit or ghost kit?"
"Yes!" Cat replied over her shoulder. "Wait for me downstairs, would you?"
I shrugged. At this point, I was just relieved I'd convinced her to agree. I had heard from almost everyone that I'd talked to that she was hard to get ahold of. So I did what she asked, and trudged my way through the paper piles back down the stairs, and scraping off my feet as I went.
