But I think its the voice actor for Lucy Heartfilia (Aya Hirano), something about her voice, its sore or she lost it, but that's what my friend told me :)

Well I had heard a combination of the two. I have heard that she (Lucy's voice actor) was fired or she quit. But I'm not sure about that... Also that the anime was getting a little close to the manga so they need to let it get some space. I don't know officially so don't trust this completely. ❤❤❤
I read a few different reasons all over the web, the most common is that the anime was running too close to the manga so it was either create a side story arc or put it on ice for a while. Hiro has said to keep believing though, so that's what i'm going to do!.
Ive been reading the manga and the anime is catching up really quick. I mean in 5 or less episodes they might have caught up to the manga. So I think that there waiting for the manga to get ahead.
