Who defeat Erigor, Gajeel, Jellal (evil Jellal back then), Laxus, Cobra, Zero, Hughes, Faust, and currently is fighting Hades?

Are all of you serious, current level between natsu and gray is equal, the owner of fairy tail makes sure to keep their power levels equal, so as to maintain the rivalry but no doubt Natsu has the potential to be super powerful, this is pending when he gets to the level of dragon force, and Gray's potential is also astronomical, evidenced by the fact that the weakest of the 10 great saints is Jura and his powerlevel is crazy, Gray's teacher UL was said to possess power that would put her in the 10 great mages and she also said her students Leon and Gray would surpass her, that all they needed was imagination, and surpassing her puts Gray's potential in the or past the 10 holy saints. But the question says who is the stronger one, presently, and at th moment they are at par. But if u really wanted an answer if they fought seriously at the moment, Gray would win because of his superior intellect, if you want evidence watch the anime, they fought, and they did it seriously because everyone thought Gray was bad. and guess what Gray won. Don't get me wrong i like natsu but this is what happened. And finally what is this rubbish I hear about Natsu being the strongest, we all love natsu but please current standing he isn't top 5 in Fairy Tail, though i would say he has the potential to be the strongest. The order of strength is like this, 1st Gildarts then little behind 2nd Makarov, significantly behind 3rd Laxus, Mystogan is gone but i'm pretty sure laxus was the stronger of the two(nobody except the master had seen laxus fight before Battle of fairy tail. Laxus is a monster), a long way behind 4th Mirajane (Look up Demon Halphas), 5th Titania Erza (she is an absolute monster- check her defeating 100 monsters, it was crazy), then people like Natsu, Gray, Freed and Gajeel come on the same level after the monster 5 or 6(if Mystogan is included). You would say Natsu beat Gajeel so they can't be level, but fact is they are, Natsu won because of the emotion involved, people with better motivation will beat their equals with less motivation. Next Natsu beat Laxus you'll say, but did he really, it took him and Gajeel and Laxus never really wanted them dead as evidenced by his fairy law failing and he used up a ton of magic power with the thunder palace and fairy law before a combined natsu and gajeel could take him down. Even Gajeel admitted to being scared of the monster Laxus was, you want proof check their second fight in the anime, they fought him individually, Laxus trumped Natsu with a one hit Kill, it was so scary That the FEARLESS Gajeel ran away.

My only argument is if you have been reading FT right now you will know that Hiro Mashima added a special section to one of the chapters (not sure which one) but this section has the battle stats of each of the members participating in the Grand Magic Games. If you look at Offence, Defence, Speed and Intelligence then total the stats of Gray and Natsu, you will see that Gray is a total of 15/20 and Natsu is 14/20. See? Hiro himself has stated their standing with each other in combat ability. Hence why Gray is stronger.

Oh and yeah, about the natsu gildarts thing, gildarts without magic power will pulverize natsu with a single punch, lol. But Time-skip natsu becos of second origin is real strong, stronger than normal, so because of that Gildarts doesn't own him with a punch but with 2.

Their BASE strength is probably the same, but Natsu has greater potential to go further

Gray or Natsu if you were to pick between power i would say gray because UI said herself Gray and lyon will
surpass her and Erza said that natsu will surpass her.But UI is counted as a wizard saint so if Gray surpasses her he will be stronger than natsu

I think gray is stronger because looking at ice devil slayer gray vs mard gear, mard gear didnt stand a chance against gray, gray was about to kill him with only two blows and natsu, sting, and rogue didnt even stand a chance againts mard gear and at the end natsu transformed into dragon force and landed a few blows but he lost alot of power but then mard gear was still standing and then he used a dragon slayer secret art but mard gear was still standing but then gray used.his ice devil slayer zero destruction bow and killed mard gear so gray ice devil slayer is stronger than dragon force it doesnt matter about how many enemies natsu or gray defeated it matters how many blows does it take to defeat the enemy.

Gray is definitely powerful. He's grown extremely well throughout the series. There's no denying that. BUT there's no way he can take the full extent of Natsu's Dragon Force and come out unscathed. If Narsu pulled that than he would definitely win.

Ok ok I see all this and yes it's true UR Grays teacher did say he'd surpass her and yes she is supposed to be equal to the wizard saints but if you remember phantom lords master said if erza was at her full strength during their battle she would be equal to him now knowing that erza from back then was equal to one of the wizard saints you can't really say that gray is stronger knowing that both Ur and erza are on par with the wizard saints and both have said that gray would surpass Ur and nastu would surpass erza but not only that nastu beat jellal or seagrain who was also one of the wizard saints now we see that nastu is superior compared to nastu well he is at least stronger but now from the info gathered and what I've been seeing it seems nastu isn't as strong later on in the manga because Gary gets an upgrade but comparing them to the saints isn't going to help show which one is stronger because if that's the case nastu is stronger

well it depends if Gray uses his devil slayer magic and Natsu uses his full power. Overall there the same, but when it comes intelligence Gray wins but if Natsu gets angry Gray is fucked

Don't under estimate Bickslow his spirits and figure eyes make him lethal

@Red_Fairy_Panda gray could be strong but nothing to compare with natsu you know if we think of the guys he beat at very beginning juvia then ultear then silver u know maybe at first ultear could want to beat him but then she saw ul's memories and so on same with solano there is always something with opponents emotions

Actually it is shounen so you dont need to search logic about who is the stronger because natsu is main charachter he always beats anyone as mashima likes even he is normally not even have power to beat erza in battles he beat opponents stronger than erza
