1. Fanpop
I'm afraid of what would have happened if I didn't put Fanpop first...Anyway, Fanpop is a great site. It's the one I've joined the most recently, but it's quickly moved up to the top of the list of favorites. It has all tons of great pictures, videos, picks, etc for all of the things I'm a fan of and it's all posted by fantastic users. I can find content here that I wouldn't normally find elsewhere. There's so many wacky people here and basically all of them are good-hearted. A lot of other sites have tons of hateful users that come with the good ones, and Fanpop doens't seem to have that many. I also love how you can express your opinion and comment on so many different things, and the picks are an awesome feature that are unique to only Fanpop. There's so many different forums and spots, it was overwhelming how much when I first joined. I was joining every spot I saw that had anything to do with anything I ever liked. I also love how the staff are able to participate within the site and become more personal with the users. In most sites, I can only guess about the creators and what they're like, or I get just the basics. And they don't actually participate in the site activities. And, because of the mass of users, people get treated unfairly because they can't hand out individual help. I suppose it's inevitable once a site gets so big, and that'll be one of the things I'm going to miss on Fanpop as its size increases. But you never know...and I'm sure Fanpop will still stay as one of my favorite sites!

TV-Links is just awesome. They have TONS and TONS of shows, movies, anime, documentaries, music videos, etc...so much, and it's all free and of great quality. They have all the seasons of the popular shows likes Scrubs and Lost, and yet lots of the long forgotten or unpopular movies. They've got tons of old movies I'd forgotten about and was able to watch again, and lots of Anime that's hard to find. It's almost too good to be true, and there's no spyware or pop-ups, nothing to harm your computer with like you might think. They even have movies there that are still out in theaters (which can't be legal, but still). I don't know how they manage it, but it's amazing. It shut down some time last year, and I was really upset. I thought maybe someone sued them or whatever, but they're back now and I couldn't be happier.

This site can be a bit boring when you first join. You don't have any gold, so you can't buy any of the really cool items - you cant buy much of anything, actually. It's rather frustrating. Also, when you're wearing the starter clothes, or very cheap clothes, or your profile isn't at all designed, or even if you're just illiterate, people are rude and often mean to you on the forums, and the forums are a really big part of Gaia. However, once you get the hang of Gaia, it gets really fun. They have a HUGE forum, and you can find just about anything there that you want to talk about. Once you find a place you really like, many people tend to stay there and make friends. It becomes like your little home to go to every time you're on Gaia. Overtime you get more items, too, and there are some pretty wicked items. These items go on your Avatar, which is a little mini person you can dress up. It sounds childish when I put it that way, but it's really quite awesome. Gaia also has a lot of cool and funny events - it even has it's own storyline. There's games like Puzzles, Slots, Cards, Towns, Fishing, etc that you can go to and have fun while interacting with other users, too. Therefore, Gaia gets a big thumbs-up from me.

Youtube might have been higher on the list if it weren't for it only hosting videos. It's a great place to find funny clips and some weird stuff, but it's not so helpful when it comes to finding movies or shows. I get frustrated looking on youtube for shows because they're constantly deleting episodes, or users have uploaded episodes 1, 2, 3...5..what happened to 4? Then I have to hunt around for a decent episode 4, and it's just annoying. It can be hard to narrow your search, too. But besides that, I've laughed countless times at some of the stuff on there. The comments are often amusing to read, and I've even uploaded some of my own videos there. But, fact is, you can probably find the same video on Myspace, or Veoh, or someplace else. Overall, though, Youtube is a pretty great site. After all, it's on my top 5 list.

I may not go on Neopets anymore, but that site was friggin' awesome. I spent several of my younger years on Neopets, and it was a great experience for me. I had a lot of fun on that site. They had like, a million games. All my friends played it, too, so we could always talk about it together. All the little Neopets were really cute, and you could paint them different colors and such. They had that giant map with all those places, all those items, characters. Yeah, good memories, good memories. I think it's a great site for kids to go on. Heck, I might even have to go check it out again.
