That's one of the reasons I joined this site. No need to name the source. On this site, anything goes. You should see the other sites I'm on. You can only upload your own works to all those sites. Only the pictures you made yourself. On this site, you can upload anything you want, from any site in the world. Anything at all. That's what makes people joining this site. If I would have to name the source for each picture, work of fan art, or video that I added so far, it would take me forever. And if it's a video we're talking about, then why even bother? Each YouTube video already comes with the source, when you start a playback on this site. I like this whole freedom of not naming my sources a lot. It's the best thing ever for someone like me who uploads a lot of different things to so many clubs.

Crediting is essential. Otherwise it's like you're stealing another person's work, claiming it as your own. Even when it is something you've made yourself, you should credit your username or write something like "I made this" in the credit box.

Crediting also doesn't take a long time. You simply write it in the box, at the same time as writing the content's title, description and keywords. It takes maybe a few seconds longer. Hardly exerting.
