Emily Cooke @ Live Science reports. An analysis of more than 6,000 telehealth abortion recipients in the U.S. suggests that receiving the abortion drugs via a virtual doctor's appointment is as safe and effective as doing so in person.
Despite multiple repeated requests for an abortion from the child, she endured 23 weeks of pregnancy and was only admitted to hospital after two apparent suicide attempts.
Currently, abortion is allowed in the case of rape or if the pregnancy puts the mother's life at risk. However, a congressional committee has voted for a constitutional amendment that would remove even these exclusions.
