She-Ra: Princess of Power was a 1985 spin-off of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Like He-Man, She-Ra developed a strong fanbase and had a very popular toyline. In 2018, She-Ra received a reboot that helped the franchise reach new levels of fame.
The Heroes:
Adora: The sister of Prince Adam and the daughter of King Randor and Queen Marlena. As a young child, Adora was taken from her family by the Horde. She was raised by the villainous Hordak and Shadow Weaver. Adora was initially convinced that the Horde team were the good guys. However, after learning the Horde's true intentions, Adora started leading a rebellion against the Horde. She became She-Ra, the most powerful woman in the universe. She lived in Etheria and served as the land's greatest protector. She was aided by a horse that's named Swift Wind.
Bow: A male friend of Adora who was a skilled archer.
Glimmer: The princess of Brightmoon and Adora's best friend.
Other princesses that helped She-Ra's rebellion included Frosta, Perfuma, Entrapta, Mermista, Netossa and Spinnerella.
Kowl: A comedic animal that joined She-Ra on her adventures.
Sea Hawk: A ship captain that occasionally helped She-Ra with her missions.
Angella: Glimmer's mother and the leader of Brightmoon.
Light Hope: She-Ra's mysterious mentor.
Madame Razz: An eccentric woman who meant well.
The Bad Guys:
Hordak: Hordak was the leader of the Evil Horde. Before Skeletor moved to Eternia, Hordak served as his mentor. Hordak raised Adora and wanted her to lead his army. However, Adora became a hero and rebelled against him. Hordak was the younger brother of Horde Prime, the most dangerous villain in the universe.
Shadow Weaver: A sorceress that helped Hordak raise Adora. She served as one of Hordak's main associates.
Catra: A rival of She-Ra. In the reboot, Catra served as Adora's former bestie who wanted to take over the Horde.
Hordak's other helpers included Scorpia, Imp and Double Trouble.
