I don't think it really has a definite meaning its just a story of a woman's life in which shes made decisions that leads her to where she is now and shes happy with it. And if you really listen to the lyrics you relize also that she isn't afraid to think of the past because she likes her life at the least. In conclusion it's basically a song about the choices a person makes in life and being completely happy with them. "And she's chosen where to be, though shes lost her wedding ring..."
