i don't really know.....
the novel is great, and one of the best books i've ever read, but sometimes i don't think it's as romantic as the movie (2005 version) so i have to say that i like the movie better

The story of Pride and Prejudice has so much depth. It has a fairytale ending, but the circumstances that lead up to it are real-life situations. It's a relatable fairytale that makes you believe in happy, true love endings, minus the fairy-godmother :] Overall, I love both the movie and novel. Jane was an inspirational writer who made the woman's role more than simply a "damsel in distress."

i love it because it's actually a really funny and witty novel. I love pretty much all of the characters, Mr.Collins and Mr.Bennett being my favourites. I didn't like the 2005 movie cuz they cut out a lot of great one liners and i don't think anything can ever compare to the 1995 mini series with Colin Firth. I watched that at least 5 times and it's like 5 hours long and i never get tired of it. So i love it both as a novel and as the mini series.

Well, I remember my mom reading Pride and Prejudice, but I was fairly young at the time and I was already involved in a series of books so I kinda put off reading it....then I watched the 1995 miniseries, fell in love with the story, read the book and watched it again just to see if it was in keeping and I was very happy that it was :)
