How do you de-stress?
For someone like me, de-stressing is the most important thing in my life. My heart already races even when resting, so it's important to my mental and physical health that I know how to calm down. I take time for this recharge every day, and here are some non-fail things I do to relax.
Comfortable clothes are a must. If I'm not going anywhere, I'm always in my "pajamas". I have insecurities about my body, but being able to move freely in my clothes and without restrictions is a must.
I have always been a fan of classical music, especially baroque. I like to put this on in a dark room and just read.
Speaking of reading, I will occasionally read a cozy mystery (never stressful, comforting characters and scenes).
I get hot very very easily, which is why I have a fan on almost year round. The cool breezes relax me and ease tension from my body as I get very angry when hot. I'd rather be cold.
Spending time with my cat Henry is a must also. My dog and other cat are too wild for me when I'm stressed, but Henry is the definition of chill.
Lastly, (this one may seem like a funny one to you guys) I like to play slots. I like mobile games in general but slots don't have missions or goals most of the time, the graphics are great, and you can just set it aside while you do something else. Hearing the sounds brings me comfort.
So what do you guys do to de-stress?
