End of Part 68
I got through the door when I heard it close, a lock sliding into place. I laughed as I turned and looked at Edward, a plan building in my mind.
"Ed, wanna wrestle?" I asked.
He laughed as he read my thoughts, and I knew he was doing it so I decided to think about the kiss, and the way that Rosalie wrapped her arms around my neck to keep me from going.
"If you stop thinking about that then I will wrestle." He said as he laughed.
"Deal." I said. "Wait, no reading my thoughts to see what I'm going to do, that's cheating."
"I can't decide what to hear." Edward said sadly.
"True, but I am going to do my best to think of ANYTHING but wrestling." I said as I thought of Rosalie.
I was about to say something else about trying to keep my thoughts clean when Edward bull rushed me, sending me running backwards and out the door.
Part 69
I landed on my back in the snow directly outside the door, Edward laughing as he dropped handfulls of snow on my face. I laughed with him as I rolled both of us over, throwing him into a snowbank closer to the back yard.
He landed on his feet, his body crunched down so that he was squatting as he looked at me, trying to figure out what I was up to. I did my best to think about Rosalie, or the way Tanya looked at Edward when he wasn't looking.
It was that final thought that sent him flying in my direction, fortunatly I caught him and used his momentum to propel him further into the back yard. I laughed as I ran after him, making my way into the back yard. I was just about to go around the side of the house when a arm shot out of nowhere, knocking me to the ground.
I blinked a few times as I looked up and saw Edward looking down at me. "Do you really think I am that dumb?"
"Huh?" I asked, honestly confused for the moment.
"Emmett, you were trying to get to the back yard so you could look. You did a good job trying to keep it out of your thoughts, but I knew what you were doing." He said as he smiled down at me. "Oh and the thought about the way Tanya looks at me, that was mean."
I laughed as I started to sit up, shaking my head as I tried to get the snow loose. Edward offered me a hand to help me up and I took it, knowing that he wasn't going to be in the mood for rough housing anymore. I tried raising myself up on my toes so that I could see a little of what was going on in the back, but Edward grabbed my arm and pulled with all his stregnth..which knocked me off balance.
"Wait." He said as he pulled my arm back to the house. "It'll be worth the wait, I promise. Now we have to go get ready, or Esme will come find us...and we don't want that." He said as we started walking back in the house.
About an hour later I was dressed in a black suit, with a light blue colored vest underneath. I looked over as the door opened and saw Edward and Carlisle walk in wearing similar suits.
"Are you nervous?" Carlisle asked.
"No, I am excited. I can't wait, I want to see her." I said as I smiled.
"Well, then let's go." Edward said as he led the way down the hallway.
We stopped at the glass doors that led out the back door, Edward turned and looked at me as he opened the door which led into the back yard. The entire thing had been completely reformed, the snow like a blanket across the entire yard. Everything looked fresh and new, there were a few chairs spread out for people to sit and closest to the woods there was something spread out on the snow, it looked like a square of silk that was the lightest blue I had ever seen, it was barely visable next to the snow. I felt myself start walking, knowing that I had to see what was on the ground, to see what other surprises waited.
I walked down the isle, glad that no one else was here to watch me...to wonder what I was doing. I knew that this wasn't like me, but I had to see what else was going on, my curiosity taking over. I got to the front and noticed that it was a blanket that was laid on top of the snow, it seemed to be made of a silky material. I was bent down feeling it when I saw Edward and Carlisle rolling out something from the doors towards me that seemed to be the same material. I was about to ask them what they were doing when they got to the front, Edward shaking his head at me as a sign that now was not the time for my questions.
Carlisle and Edward stood up on the side and Edward pointed to the front spot, where I should stand aparently. I moved quickly, taking my spot in front as they turned and looked at the back doors. Carmen and Eleazar were the first two people through the door, Carmen dressed in a flowing pink number that made it look like she was floating on the snow. Eleazar was dressed in a tuxedo, and after he helped her to her seat he came to stand at the front next to me. I was wondering what he was doing when I felt someone flick the back of my shoulder. I turned to say something and saw Edward shaking his head as he looked from me to Eleazar...sigh. I guess I wouldn't know until the time was right. I looked over and saw Edward nodding slowly, a smile streatching across his face.
Tanya, Kate and Irina were the next people through the doors. All three of them looking amazing as they walked through the doors. They were all wearing red, just slightly different varieties. Irinia's was almost a wine colored dress, it flowed like water down her body, stopping just below her knees. Kate was dressed in a deep shade of red, the color setting off her blond hair. The dress was full legnth, pooling by her feet which were hidden beneath the dress. Finally there was Tanya, her dress the color of blood which flowed down her body and pooled slightly to the floor. It wasn't until she took a step that we all noticed the slight she had in the dress, the slit that went from her toes to her hip. She smiled at Edward as we all watched the three of them take their seats.
I turned to look at Edwards face, fighting a laugh when I thought about the dress Tanya was wearing the the way that Edward reacted to having to see it again.
We were both laughing quietly when Carlisle put a hand on each of our shoulders and gave both of us a look that we knew meant we had to behave.
I shook my head as I remembered Edwards face, and turned to look at the woods as I tried to focus on the reason I was here. I heard the door open again and turned to see Rosalie stepping through the doors.
I tried to control my expressions, but I am pretty sure that I failed. It was like an angel just walked through the door, she was virtually glowing. Her dress was pure white, and from where I was standing I could see that there was beading all along the dress, it formed tiny flowers throughout her dress. It was long, flowing out behind her as she walked. I made myself look up into her face which was slightly obscured by a veil, I smiled and was happy when I saw a smile streatch across her lips that had been painted a deep red color.
She started making her way down the isle, walking very slowly towards me, her eyes never looking away from mine. When she was within reach I reached over and pulled her close to me, smiling as I heard someone laugh. I looked down at her, forgetting how to speak for a minute...to be honest I would have been perfectly content if I would have been left in this spot for the rest of time, to look upon my angel.
I heard someone move behind Rosalie, but couldn't look away to see who it was that was moving around. I figured that it must have been Esme who was her maid of honor.
"Emmett." Eleazar said as he reached out and touched my shoulder. "Emmett, we are here today to unite you and Rosalie. The bonds in our lifestyle are unbreakable, marriage is for an eternity. Do you wish to enter into this commitment with Rosalie?"
"I do." I said, barely waiting for him to finish.
"Rosalie." Eleazar said as he touched her shoulder softly. "Emmett has decided that he can not live without you, he wishes to spend every day together. He would like you to be his wife for the rest of time, is this something you wish as well?"
"I do." Rosalie said softly as she squeezed my hand.
"In front of all of these people you both have vowed to be together for eternity. Your love is one that I have not seen in quite a time, I hope that it burns brightly like a candle in the night. Love and support each other, even when it seems that this is impossible." Eleazar said as he smiled at both of us.
"Emmett," He said as he smiled at me.
"Yes?"
"Kiss your new bride." He said as he grinned and everyone began clapping.
I leaned down, pulling the veil up out of her face as I leaned down and kissed her. The kiss began as a sweet kiss in front of our family, but quickly grew to one that should not have been seen by everyone. I pulled away looking down into Rosalie's eyes, which were surprised that I pulled away. I bent down kissing her softly before I turned both of us to look at our new family.
