End of Chapter 11
***Rosalie's POV***
I was giving up hope, I screamed and cried. My only thought was how was Emmett taking this, I forgot all of my own worries and fears and focused on Emmett. He must be so scared, we've never been apart...and now I was somewhere that he wasn't. I was so busy thinking about that that I didn't hear the voice until it was screaming in my head.
"Bella, ask Bella. The red light! Ask Bella, she will be the answer!" Alice's voice screamed as I felt the strangest sensation. It was like someone was pulling me backwards through my back and anchored to my belly button.
I wanted to yell at Alice, to ask her what the hell she was talking about..but at that moment my eyes opened and the only thing I could see was the sun shining through the window.
Chapter 12
***Emmett's POV***
The past two days have been the most stressful of my life. I have never felt so...hopeless. Let's go back, I keep thinking that if I go back it will make sense one of these times..but it hasn't helped yet.
We were hunting..well Jasper and I were hunting. Rosalie was grumbling about how 'everything had to be turned into a game, and why couldn't we just grow up.' I winked at her as I turned back to Jasper and discussed the rules of our hunt. We shook on the agreeable terms and took off after a herd of deer that had no chance of surviving.
I had just taken down a buck, (which by the way was worth 10 points) and was just about to go finish when I saw Rosalie standing frozen in one spot. She was looking down at her feet, a look of horror on her face when she started to fall.
I was at her side as her body hit the bracken that rest on the forest floor. I had pulled her into my lap and was calling her name, at first I thought she was just playing a trick on me, to get me to pay attention to her..but when she didn't respond I realized something was wrong.
Jasper came running over, kneeling next to me as I called her name. He reached over and touched Rosalie, I think he was checking to see if she was playing..but when she didn't respond at all he looked at me with wide eyes.
"What happened?"
"I don't know, I was finishing up the buck..and I looked over and she was falling. Rosalie, stop playing...please talk to me." I pleaded.
I ran my finger down the side of her cheek, knowing that she couldn't resist smiling when I did this. I smiled down at her as I waited to see her smile, mine falling when I realized she wasn't responding.
"Go get Carlisle." I said as I looked at Jasper.
"Emmett, we need to take her to him. We need to go now." Jasper said as he stood up and looked down at me.
I scooped Rosalie up in my arms, holding her against my chest as Jasper and I started running. We are usually more careful to be sure that we don't run around area's where humans are..but at that point I honestly couldn't care less who saw us. Jasper slowed to a jog when we came near the football field, but I just shook my head and plowed through. I didn't realize that Jasper wasn't next to me until I got to the end of the driveway. I looked around but didn't see him, I was going to begin to worry when I heard his footsteps in the woods behind me.
"Nice." He said as he shook his head. "You're lucky it was ME with you. I calmed down the poor cheerleader you scared the heck out of."
Oh..well that would explain the screaming I thought I heard. Oh well, didn't care. I started yelling Edward and Carlisle's name as I got closer to the house, hoping Edward would understand everything and fix my wife quickly.
Jasper just got the door open before I would have smashed through it. Alice was screaming for some reason, I wondered what that was about for about a second before I walked over and set Rosalie on the couch, holding her head in my lap. Edward came running down and he and Carlisle started asking questions about what happened.
I told them everything I could, and they confired between them trying to think of things to do. They suggested that we move her upstairs and I carried Rose up there where she has been for almost 4 days now...unchanged.
About a day after Rosalie fell ill, Alice too was struck by whatever this was. Carlisle and Edward placed her into the bed with Rosalie, both of them laying on the bed with their arms crossed on their chests. They both looked like angels, angels who were trapped in these bodies.
Jasper and I had many talks in the days to follow, talks about what we would do if..no when they came around. Talks about what they were thinking, and finally talks about what we would do if things changed for the worst. We had to try and keep those thoughts from Edward, knowing that if he found out he would do anything he could to stop us.
We were out hunting, Jasper and I when I heard someone yell my name from the house. I looked at Jazz before taking off, not bothering to jump over the river..but rather smashed my way through.
I ran up the stairs, dripping all over Esme's polished floor and not caring a bit. I was hoping that when I opened the door I would find Rosalie awake, asking for me...but what I found was Edward unconcious on the couch. I was confused, he was trying a treatment with Alice when we left and now he was unconcious and Esme said something about Bella being on her way over...that wouldn't go well.
Bella showed up and was crushed to see Edward that way, but he came too quickly saying something about talking to Alice. He said that he hadn't heard Rosalie which made me loose faith a little bit, he quickly reminded me that he and Alice could talk without talking so that made me feel a little better.
He told us what he could, that it seemed like Alice said the same thing over and over again and that she sounded distant. He wanted to go lay down, and when he stood I caught him, helping him into his room before returning to Rosalie.
I was sitting on the bed, holding her hands in mine as I had hundred of times while she was unconcious when I saw her eyes snap open. She blinked a few times as she looked at the light that was pouring through the window. She turned her head slightly and smiled at me, which was exactly what I needed. I bent down and kissed her forehead and was surprised when she wrinkled her head at me when I pulled away.
"Rosalie?" I asked a bit loud, letting everyone know that she was awake.
"Bella, I need to talk to Bella. The red light...the...red light." She said as she scrambled away from me. "The red light..Bella, the red light!"
I was on my feet, running for Edward's room before I realized what was going on. My wife was awake, and I was very happy about that..but she was so scared and it seemed that Bella was the only person who could help her.
