can someone please tell me what the big deal with justin beiber is?

okay, i dont know if i spelt his name right. anyhoo, i had never ever heard of him until i joined fanpop and saw that everyone loved him and stuff. seriously, i do not know what he does. i couldnt really care less, but i just want to know whats so great about him - if there's anything great about him at all. i mean, he has sooo many fans, whats the deal? thanks for putting up with my lack of knowledge :)
