The second set of advance tickets went on sale at participating theaters on Saturday. The second set came with exclusive eye masks — each randomly distributed mask features one of the five main characters.
The movie will depict a story not told in the television series, even though it will follow the five female members of Sakuragaoka High School's light music club while they are still attending high school. The original television voice cast will reprise their respective roles in the movie, as will most of the main staff.

Otakon will also host a K-ON! mini-concert by English voice actresses Stephanie Sheh (Yui), Cristina Vee (Mio), Cassandra Lee (Ritsu), and Shelby Lindley (Mugi), along with cosplayer/singer Karrie Shirou.

Among the anime he has produced are Unico, Ninja Scroll, Card Captor Sakura, Monster, Death Note, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Paprika, Redline, and Supernatural the Animation.
The short concert that Sheh, Vee, Lee, and Lindley will hold will be their first performance at Otakon as a group.
In addition, Otakon 2011 will host a concert with three Japanese voice actresses from Angel ScandyS, and singer Kylee will perform separately.
