It's an unlikely love story, a story that many people couldn't understand. But it's so realistic, Leon understands but Mathilda doesn't. Also I'm around the same age as Mathilda therefor I can relate to her, seeing it from her point of view much easier.

I was very young, when I saw the movie for the first time and I think I had some kind of connection with Mathilda, I can imagine, what she feels like. And the story all in all is so beautiful told.
And as my forerunner wrote : gary-Gary Oldman! ;D
