Was Desmond wrong? ( read further plz )

Desmond said to Charlie that he saw Claire and Aaron getting on a rescue helicopter, but charlie had to drown for this to happen. Charlie did drown but Claire never got rescued...i know she was in the cabin with her father (and Jacob i think), so did Desmond get it wrong? or did he see this happening and Christian got in the way and changed it at the last minute. ?????????

I believe that all along he was meant 2 save charlie 2 make that come true...like he saved him wen he got the arrow in his neck and desmond thought that saving him would mean that the person (naomi) would not come 2 the island but she did so saving him is wat caused these events 2 happen but desmond failed bcoz he thought that he was meant 2 let charlie die which he was not supposed 2 do!!!

I've always felt something was a little "off" with his prediction. I mean we never saw Claire/Aaron being saved by helicopter as he described, yet we did see Kate board the helicopter with Aaron so he either got the vision wrong or the chain of events shifted as soon as he died for some reason. Your theory would actually fill some of the plotholes that were left unanswered by this storyline.

Yer, becuase i dont think this will be explained in season 6 as it is not big nor important. It was just somethink i was wondering, i think that Christian must of changed It last minute sort of last minute thing ( when we saw Christian with Claire and she left the baby). And that is why we didnt see Claire and Aaron get on the helicopter.

The season 5 finale took a turn right towards the end. This among many other things might not get answered. I think hurley and miles ability to see the dead will be key in helping a new candidate [Jack] take the place of Jacob. Who will in the end defeat [the new Locke]
