Lost Through The Looking Glass whispers

"Naomi. I don't know that name"
"I have hell to pay"

These are the whispers that Locke hears in Through The Looking Glass before he is about to shoot himself. What do you think they could mean, and more importantly perhaps, what do you believe the whispers are?

I don't know how this could be, but the "Help me" sounds like it could be Jacob, and the "Naomi. I don't know that name" sounds like it could be Penelope. I don't know about the "I have hell to pay."

I think that maybe the whispers are the sounds of everything that ever happened on the island. Although didn't Penelope say that she didn't know Naomi after Locke heard the whispers? Maybe they show the future, too.

They are all female voices. I forgot to say that. So, we can cross out Jacob unfortunately.
