definitely mechanical web shooters! lee and ditko knew what they were doing. it contributed to peters scientific persona and knowledge.when they introduced the organic ones it was almost like giving batman trained attack vampire bats or something-very forced-its like when the uncanny x men began having the blurb on their covers that read;"the comic that inspired the movie"- it felt like instead the movies were influencing the comics

I prefer the organic web shooters only because it makes Parker's transformation into a spider/human hybrid that much more all encompassing. The switch to organic didn't feel forced to me- it just seemed like a natural evolution of the character over time.
