Maya the Bee Question

Has anyone wondered this about Max the Earthworm?

This is a question that I will like to ask to any fans who have seen Max in both animated series because I would like to know what is your thought on Max's age change that was made in the Studio 100 series where he was changed from the original adult that was in the Nippon Animation series to a child who is about the same age as Maya, Willy, Ben, Barry, Lara and Shelby. Beatrice is the only expection from the gang who is more older in age 'cause I see her as more of a teen or a young adult than a child though. As for Max, he was one of the characters that I knew when I was a child while watching the Nippon Animation series back at that age which I already viewed him as an adult when I first saw him appearing in an episode, not only because of his height and appearance, but also because of his deep voice that he makes when talking to others. But after I decided to watch the Studio 100 series for first time and found episodes where he appears and heard his child-like voice, I was very confused and I was like "What? Isn't he supposed to be an adult and not a child? Why did they change his age?" because you know, I'm a person who grew up watching the original animated series by Nippon Animation after all, but after that, I started to like his character in the Studio 100 series when watching more episodes featuring him in because he is nice, sweet, cute and adorable to me and it makes sense to make him a child 'cause the design that they have made for him don't suit him very well for him to be an adult like in the original animated series, but that's just my opinion and how I view about it. But for the younger fans who grew up with the Studio 100 series might also get confused at first, but that helps them to know how different is the older series from the one that they know and hope for them to end up enjoying the original too as both series are great and fun of their own.
