Do you think the original anime series was ever aired in the UK?

I'm not really sure if this old animated series was aired in the UK or not, but from what I know, the book was published in that country and the CGI series was aired in there on Tiny Pop which it was launched in 2003, but I doubt they have aired the anime series first before the animated reboot one, so what do you heard about it? For me, I heard from somewhere that it does air in the UK in its famous South African English dub by Sonovision because some people believed that the actors' accents sounds too "British" to them before realizing it was made in South Africa and not in the UK, but from what I have seen and heard, that dub was also aired in Australia, New Zealand and Canada (before the Saban English dub was made), but I haven't find any source that it does actually air in the UK, but if you have, tell me your source in the comments below the question, so I can answer that back.
