Music Question

Has anyone/thing ruined a good song for your? For exsample, a song you liked played in the background as something bad happened to you?

For me it's Tarja's Lucid Dreamer. I can't listen to it without thinking about how it was the last song my dog heard before she died.

Tarja is one of my favorites as well. And Lucid Dreamer was actually my favorite song by her. It's alright, I guess in a way I'm glad I have the song to remind me of her if that makes sense.

Kind of! The song Runaway Train. I forget who sings it but, when I was 6 years old my mom's ex boyfriend liked that song and I heard it a lot and then he molested me so I think about that and him whenever I think of that song! I still would listen to it but, the memories would come back! I haven't heard that song in over a decade though!

Trying To Be Cool by Phoenix was one of my jams when I was in a "relationship" with a foolish guy. Relationship in quotations because we both liked each other, but we never said "I love you", we never went on dates, and we never did more than hug or hold hands.

Lady Marmalade by Pink, Christina Aguilera, Mya and Lil'Kim

This was not my favourite song featuring Pink but sometimes just liked it going in the background. Until Andrew Loyd Webber created that crap Love Never Dies a wannabe "sequel" to The Phantom of the opera (which is my all time favourite musical and means a lot to me as it helped me through the diffcult periods of my life) in which the little Meg Giry is forced to be a prostitute by the phantom and her own mother, Madame Giry (which is a totally nonsense out-of-character thing for both of them...). Well, Lady Marmalade is about prostitutes and this incident made me find this song really tasteless and inappropriate so I don't listen to it anymore...
