I watch NCIS and Desperate Housewives, but I've never gotten into lost. These are the shows I watch:
Sundays:
Desperate Housewives (fall), Army Wives (summer)
Mondays:
Life Unexpected
Tuesdays:
NCIS, NCIS:LA, Parenthood
Wednesdays:
New Adventures of Old Christine (30 min), Accidentally on Purpose (30 min), Law & Order: SVU
Thursdays:
CSI, The Mentalist
Fridays:
Numb3rs (although that is probably done now)
In the summer, I also watch:
Drop Dead Diva, Royal Pains, The Closer, Burn Notice, White Collar.
I watch Bones, but I'm so far behind that I don't obsess over it in quite the way I do NCIS.
If you're looking for a show that is fairly new and sort of similar to NCIS, I would recommend Castle. It just got picked up for it's third season. I don't watch it regularly but the episodes I've seen I really enjoyed. The premise is that Castle is an author who is good friends with the Mayor of NY and so he gets special permission to follow this female cop, Beckett, around on all her cases as "inspiration".
I also enjoy NCIS:LA although I realize many NCIS fans do not. I take it as being a separate show.
The Mentalist has a great ensemble cast, much like NCIS. Patrick Jane is a guy who's good at reading people. His wife and daughter were murdered by a serial killer, Red John. He now works for the CBI (a fake California law enforcement agency) as a consultant where he has an unorthodox way of finding out who the killer is and getting them to confess.
Hope these help Joyce!
