Pokémon How does the Trainers know which pokémon they shall choose?

I doesn't know... It isn't like it's names on emm or something... only Ritchie has control of which because he has stickers on emm

I've always questioned this, and I'm hesitant about my answer. But I guess the trainers just know which Pokémon is in which Pokéball. Trainers must really know and love their Pokémon enough.
