I haven't watched the series in a long time, so I may be rusty in remembering the plot, but here I go anyway...
Demon characters in anime happen to be my favourite, so if I have the choice of shipping a human or a demon, I will almost always go for the demon. Hence, I'll go with Tsurara for Rikuo instead of either Kana or Yura.
Tsurara is beautiful, man! Her warm, amber eyes and snowy skin, plus the flowing raven hair, it just looks gorgeous on her. She's much prettier than the other girls who hang out around Rikuo.
Not only is she beautiful, but she's also got a very cute personality! She works hard to take care of Rikuo and will go to extreme lengths to protect him, to keep him happy. She fights with him side-by-side whenever trouble arises and also knows how to cool him down whenever life gets to him.... pun intended- xD
As for Rikuo, he should break the trend that his father and grandfather followed! He should ditch the human brides and marry a demoness instead. The curse can be broken. There are still some chances left to prevent the future Nura successors from getting even weaker.
He's cute in his day form with the messy brown hair and all, but it's his night form that really takes the cake - he's handsome! Spiky silver hair, blood red eyes, he's hauntingly attractive.
Not only that, but he's also very mature and strong, proving himself to be just as capable as his father and grandfather, both of whom had purer demonic blood than him. He worked hard to develop his skills and his personality, so that is admirable. He looks out for everybody and makes sure that they are all content in his household. Tsurara can depend on him during times of weakness.
Rikuo knows Tsurara's nature and the other trivia about her since they live together - he trusts her and often relies on her emotionally. They already have a bond between them that's deeper than the Master/Aide relationship, even if they may not realise it entirely yet.
He rushes to defend her whenever she faces trouble during battles and also displays affection for her in both his day and night forms - if that doesn't hint at romance, then I don't know what does! xD
And there were several moments in the anime that teased the Rikuo/Tsurara ship, so that's all the more reason for me to love it!
