If Sam Winchester were a real person who had an interest in me (which most likely wouldn't happen in the first place) then regardless of if I had a mutual interest in him, I'd have to be realistic. There really can't be a way to hold a successful relationship with either Dean or Sam. We all saw what happened with Lisa and Jessica. It isn't just that, though. I wouldn't mind dying over the job or over him if I loved him, or anything for that matter. It's just the emotional responsibility and liabilities that accompany relationships. As much as I'd want to, I probably wouldn't. I don't know if it would be best for him.
