I don't think they would have hated each other as much, but Sirius and Snape could never be friends

maybe Snape will treat him like Remus, and that's some what nicer.. but Friends? nah.. Not even if Snape would find out that its Peter that betrayed Lily..

I think Sirius was too mean to him, Snape doesn't seem like the forgiving type to me. I also think that Sirius has no interest in becoming friends with Snape.

I don't know what world your living on but friends????? The hatred runs to deep and too awesome. Who doesn't like a little rivalry every once in a while?

They had gone through too much. They might no longer be enemies, but I can't see them being more than acquaintances.

I think it is highly unlikely that the two of them could get along. Sirius, while undoubtedly amazing, is very stubborn.

They'd be a bit like Draco and Harry in the epilogue - no longer openly antagonistic towards each other, but there'd be far too much bad blood between them for them ever to become friends. Sirius would still blame Snape for reporting the prophecy to Voldemort in the first place, no matter the fact that he'd changed sides afterwards, and if he learned that Snape had been perfectly OK with the idea of James and Harry dying if Lily survived....
