That is purely a personal choice that you must make.
I personally have had legs tattooed with Fishnets,... and not the large 1" squares that are occassionally seen,... but realistic looking Fishnets having 44 strands around each leg in both directions (that's 88 per leg from tattooed lace top & flowered band stocking tops complete with tattooed garter suspenders up to a panty line all the way down to my toes.
The FishnetTattoos are finished from the Tattooed Lacey Nylon tops all the way down to my toes on as much skin that accepts tattoos.
It is expensive - However being what we've researched and believe to be the most realistic and extensive Fishnet Tattoos ever done and considering this first time required a learning process added to the expense (that considering the size of the legs, the # of Fishnet strands and the complexity of the Tops) would be factors in much more reasonable cost. Originally my artist didn't think it could be done (which was a consistant opinion as I received from no less then 12 other tattoo artists over a 50 mile radius) maintaining that the consistancy of the constant changing shape of the leg, the topography of the legs skin and trying to keep the Fishnets consistant with the spirals down the legs and moving the 'victim' consistantly turning, flippinf, contorting, etc. to allow the artist to be this made it damned near impossible,... until I figured out the mathematical way to be able to do it. My Artist (not understanding it at first) was willing to try and she turned out a fabulous work of body art that has been getting written notariety in the form of e-m's and Blog postings from literally all over the world!!!

Ultimately, it's your choice and (presumably) your money. Personally, I wouldn't, but mostly because I would rather have "separate" tattoos. You may not always like the fishnet look, after all.

Yes, awesome idea. I want to get them myself. Been thinking about it for a long time. How did you figure out how to get them so perfectly? Can't wait to get started...

× It took allot of thought over the 11 months of getting the seams, bows stocking tops and garter suspenders done,... and thought by many - MANY - tattoo artists that it couldn't be done and look good (or right). I figured out how to do it mathematically and Rayne (my artist) was willing to try if I was,... so we decided to go for it and the result is in the photo! Write to me at Fishnet.tattoos@Gmail.com for more info about them,... and for a few more pictures, do a google image search (safe settings to off) for Fishnet Tattoos and you'll find results that bring you to my page,

I'd say to get only part of your legs done instead of your whole leg. You might regret it later if you get your whole leg.
