Prologue
No ones Pov 

Kayla slowly looked around making sure nobody was home. She ran upstairs to her room, her wist length, brown hair moving against her body. She closed her bedroom door looking at the color of her walls, a light shade of pink, with princesses at each corner. She looked at it just wanting to rip it down. Kayla had decorated this room when she was about ten years old. Now, at the age of eighteen she hated it. It just wasn't her. It wasn't.

Her whole life wasn't her. Her parents thought she was a good girl that never did anything bad, but the truth was ever since her mom had that miscarriage. When she lost her soon to be brother, and even her mother she was never the same. In a way you could say she grew up her dad didn't see it but her friends did. 

Slowly she ditched her friends. She made new friends became popular. Went to parties. The worst part is that that isn't her either. She really didn't know what was her.

Kayla put her head in-between her knees. And tears silently fell down her cheeks. Silently she wished that she did have a brother.

Liam inside watching everybody else outside. He was never popular. He was in a group, but that grip wasn't popular. He wasn't the one that got all the girls. He had a crush on only one girl, but she was dating the most popular guy, Harry.

Liam life was a mess the girl he liked was dating his life long enemy, and his dad left his family when Liam was little. His mom worked constantly and  he barely saw her. At school everyone used to tease him about it. But they probably forgot about it. Just like everyone. Sometimes even his friends. Especially, that one girl he liked.

Star's dark red hair fell down past her shoulders. She could barely see since her bangs covered her eyes. She had a little white star painted just above her right cheek. Next to her right eye. She pushed her bang away from her face and tried calming herself down. She was about to play her first gig. This was an important thing to her. Music was her life. Her mom is a music teacher, Her dad is a music producer, and her brother is a songwriter in his senior year. Star, herself was the lead singer in a band. Her life was perfect she had every thing she wanted. At least she thought she did

Misunderstood. 

That was the perfect word for Harry. Everyone thought he was a nice, easygoing, guy with no problems at all.

The truth is that his mom is always out drunk. He never knew his dad. His older sister, Amy, hates him and makes his life miserable. Yet he's still popular at school. The only other person who knows about his family is his next door neighbor Danny, short for Dannielle. But there's a secret that she has. A secret Harry can't seem to figure out.

Leo ran to bunker 9. It was the day he always dreaded.

March 19.

The day his mom died. He looked up at the sky, trying desperately trying not to cry but still failing. 

Suddenly something went shooting across the sky. An airplane. Leo saw it and mistook it for a shooting star.

If you really do get wishes, Leo thought, then I wish I never was a demigod.

For a moment nothing happened and Leo scolded himself for being so silly. He threw rocks because he was getting pretty mad and throwing rocks was better than starting a fire.

There was a loud noise and Leo looked up to see something coming closer to him.

Quickly, Leo started running away from bunker 9 realizing that it was a malfunctioning airplane. When the air plane landed it didn't exactly crush Leo, but the impact was awful. Leo fell to the ground let out a scream for help and then blacked out.

okay, here's the prologue hope you like it! :) 

A few things I know I didn't do Andre and Dannielle but I have a good reason. If you can guess why I didn't I'll give you props and post allot faster! :)

Chapter one
Leo

I, had the worst dream ever.

I dreamed  I got hit by a plane. After I got hit by it I saw about 8 people get out of the air plane. One of them was arguing with the rest.

Then a girl that was eight years old said "It will teach him a lesson, don't worry, he'll be okay,"

I didn't know what they were talking about, but it made me uneasy. Were these people talking about me?

Who were they?

I sat up my head my head was spinning, and it hurt. I felt so bad, that for a moment I thought I would faint. The other people noticed me.

A guy with really pale skin, and a black robe, that I couldn't help but think he was Voldemort's twin, looked at me, "The boys awake,"

"he is isn't he" the girl talked once again.

I looked at all of them closer, and I realized I knew one of them. Before I could figure out from where I knew one of those eight people, the world started spinning. My head started hurting again.

"Wait!" I managed to scream, and notice one of them— the one I knew— was looking at me with sympathy, before blacking out.



"A game," A sleepy voice laughed, "that's how they are treating you Leo Valdez!"

"Y—you," I stuttered. "Not you, Not you again,"

"Oh, so you do recognize me, son of Hephaestus," the sleepy voice said, "I may try to fool you other times but this time I'm telling the truth. To them your a game, that's what this is all about,"

"What,"

"Think about it will you really help someone to who you are just a... Game. They don't really care with you," she said and with that happy thought, I woke up.

I stared at my surroundings. I was definitely not anywhere at camp Half-blood. I saw a girl—who was about eighteen— standing about five feet away from where I was sleeping. The girl had brown hair, and blue eyes.

"What," I started.

"Who are you, what are you doing?" the girl asked, picking up a baseball bat that happened to be near her, "Answer me! I will use this,"

"Woah, Woah, Woah, put the bat down that could hurt someone," I said but was really thinking it could hurt me.

Without any warning the girl threw the baseball bat.

"You didn't answer my questions," she said tears streaming down her face. I didn't know this girl but I felt bad for her, "This is my room what are you doing her?"

"Oh, what a pleasant surprise. I didn't know you were coming Kayla. I hope you and your step-brother get along this time," a woman said I looked over at the doorway.

The fact that she said this girl was my step-sister didn't scare me at all, because this woman looked exactly like my mom.

"Oh, I'm sorry Esperanza, I should have told you," another woman appeared at the doorway, she looked like an older version of Kayla.

"Mom," I heard the girl with brown hair choke out.

Leo's mom???? OMW!!!!!!!!!! Kayla and Leo are RELATED???? OMIGOSH!!! Please post soon!!!:D

Chapter two
Star

I was psyched, I couldn't wait to get to school.

I couldn't wait. Today was going to be great. Nothing could ruin it. As I got ready for school, I listened to a new song.

"And that was the new song from B.O.B, featuring lead singer of Paramore, Hayley Williams," the radio host said.

Before I left I wrote down the name of the song. It sounded cool maybe I'll try singing it with my band, you know if I can just magically rap.

On my way to school, I met up with Danielle and Harry. 

Both seniors, next door neighbors.

That's were the similarities end. I'm good friends with both of them but more with Danielle. Maybe it's because she actually talks to me at school, unlike Harry who's to cool to talk to a 16 year old girl. Danielle and her friends talk to me though, they're not stuck up like Harry and his friends. Harry doesn't even talk to Danielle.

Some times I tell Dannielle our relationship with Harry is... 'Complicated,' but she'll just look at me like I lost my mind. Then I explain my joke, saying that Complicated as the song. She jut shakes her head and mutters something about how I can be real immature sometimes.

"Sorry," I jumped back, today we'd been so quiet I forgot Danny and Harry were even here.

Danielle kept her eyes straight ahead, as if Harry hadn't even talked.

"Sorry, for what?" I asked.

"I've been a jerk lately haven't I? I barely talk to you guys," He said putting an arm around me and extending his other one tho Danielle.

"Come on Danny you can't be mad at me still. I promise this day on I won't care what my friends say because you guys are my friends," he said.

A small smile appeared on Danny's face. She pointed a finger at Harry, "You better mean,"

Harry grinned took his off of me, and we walked in silence.

"So how's senior year?" I asked, "Any advice I can get?"

Harry playfully messed up my hair.

"Uhh, Excuse me I spent an hour on this hair," I teased.

"Oh please. You sound like Kayla," he started walking backwards so he could face us.

"My hair! You don't touch my hair! I spent two hours on this," he mocked. With his accent he just sounded silly though.

"Oh, you both are so immature," Danny said,"You—"

Danny didn't finish because someone yelled Harry's name. I watched as Harry turned to the girl he had just been mocking. He smiled at he and waved. I kept on walking but Danny stopped. 

"Harry, come on why are you talking to..." she waved her hand at me and Danny but not in a friendly way. "Them,"

Behind me I heard Danny scoff. Harry turned to her, then me and shrugged at both of us. He waved goodbye and ran off to where Kayla was.

I turned and walked back to Danny. 

"Jealous, much?" I teased.

"No—" she started.

"Hey, I'm Leo," A boy said.

He looked cute. He had curly black hair, brown eyes, and a cute grin on his face. If I hadn't known better I would have thought he was Harry's little brother, but that was silly Harry had said before he was an only child. That and this kid had no British accent.

"Kayla's brother," he said. He himself sounded as if he didn't believe that.

I raised an eyebrow, "Kayla's brother?" 

"Yeah," He said. I looked at Danny. 

"Kayla doesn't have a brother," Danny mouthed back.

"It was nice meeting you but I need to go," Danny said.

I ignored the fact that Danny had said Kayla didn't have a brother. What did she know about Kayla. Kayla was a popular, just like Harry.

"I haven't seen you around here, I can show you around if you want?" I asked.

"that be great,"

"By the way my names star,"
