"JAMES!" I hollered. "What?" He answered, looking up from where he was sitting in the den (on the computer, as always). I ran in from the living room and held up my book, 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief'. "You absoulutely, positively HAVE to read this book!! It is the AWESOMEST thing eveeeeeeeeeeer!!!!!" James groaned and rolled his eyes, "You know I'm not a big reader, M" "I know, but you will Loooooove this book! It is halairious, and awesome, and has lots of adventure, and it's awesome, and-" "Let me guess, " James sighed,"It's awesome." "Exactly!" I smiled. "Okay, okay. I'll read it." James gave in, "But I'm not giving you any promises on how long it will take me." I grinned triumphantly. "Here you go then," I held out the book, "I'm done!"

~LATER (that year)~

"Marie, here's your book back." James held out the Thief o' Lightning. "YOU FINISHED IT!" I squealed. "Yeah, yeah - I finished it." He replied. "Okay here's the next book!" James muttered something, but I didn't hear him. I was staring at the TV. "What?" James asked, "It's just a trailer." "Not. Just. Any. Trailer." I whispered, my eyes still locked on the screen. "It's for the Lightning Thief!"

Our mom had us in the kitchen making dinner, when Marie flipped on the radio. The song "I wanna be a millionaire" came on. I started snapping my fingers to the beat, and Marie started singing. But - she had changed the lyrics. I listened closer as she kept singing

Later that night, James was asleep but I couldn't follow. I was too excited. If, by any chance, We were demigods, we might be able to meet our idols. Just thinking about it made me grin from ear to ear. I got out of bed and turned on the lamp beside my bed, I grabbed a sheet of paper and started writing my would be adventures. Lets see, meet Percy, check, ride blackjack,check...

later that night james was lay awake thinking about how hard he had tried to hide that he loved percy jackson he thought about that for hours until he heard marie fall asleep he then lept out of bed silently and started to act like he was a demigod going on adventures like Percy but he was Zeus's son and he would zap every monster that got to close he then started to write down his own percy jackson adventures making himself the hero and he would fight off the monsters easily and every girl in camp loved him he even had Percy as a close friends and then he saved the world from certain doom with the help of Percy after that he continued with pretending he was a demigod. Hours later he felt Marie looking at him her eyes wide open"You love Percy Jackson too don't you your pretending to be a Demigod... I knew it you do love them"Marie said a certain cockiness and then she said"Can we play this tomorrow? PLEASE" she whispered."oh okay"he replied. They stayed up for ages after talking about there favorite bits in it.
