I've expressed so much dislike for this idea since there was so much to work with when it comes to the lion king. I mean this is the 20th anniversary we're talking about here and that's the best they could have come up with! A made for TV movie that's aimed for 2-7 year olds I mean seriously it's almost insulting! For all of us die hard fans who have been waiting for a real sequal to the second one.Cause 1 1/2 don't count in my book! I mean honestly that was just basically a spin off,I don't know what it was all I do know is that i was highly dissatisfied! I'm not going to say I'm no going to watch it. Yeah I'll probably see how it is and maybe it will be good, that's beside the point though they should not have waited 11 years to put another movie out just to make it preschool age that's really the part the just chaps my Hyde. I don't care how good it is. And how come they never said Kovu was going to guest star on the show what did he just disappear off the face of the earth or are the fans just supposed to forget he exists! This is a very touchy subject for me! Everyone here at fanpop who knows me knows I take my lion king very serious!!!

I know. Kovu was a very important character. they should have him on the show. regardless of who voices him.
I might try it out, but I'm not sure. They could've come up with something better, and in a different question I already said a better idea. Simba and Nala's everyday lives as cubs. We didn't really get much out of that, so they could express it out in a TV show. And I am very disappointed that the characters we knew and loved are just going to make "special appearances." It seems as if they'll just be guest star cameos. I also think they should have widened the age range, since most Lion King fans will definitely be older than 7. It really looks like they just ignored the Lion King fans completely.
I'm not sure how this will work out. It's depressing that a Disney show is going to air just for little kiddies that's 7 years and younger? Please! I loved TLK films since I was 10 back in 1994 when TLK was in cinemas. Filmmakers should think of a 4th film about Kiara and Kovu taking over. I'd love to see how Kovu be as a father and Kiara as a mother teach their own cub/s what is like to be king and queen. There are billions of TLK fans out there that may get dissapointed of this. It's bad enough that this is gonna be on Disney Jr. TLK isn't just for children, it's for all ages that's what Disney is for. Disney World and Disney Land are for everybody that can have lots of fun kids/teens and adults enjoy everything there. I think this Lion Guard is gonna be lame in my opinion. But when it comes out I'll see what it's like. I have a year old niece to watch it with me, when it comes on Disney Jr she'll be 2 then. I think Disney can do better though.
i was wanting to know what happend to kiara and kovu. did they have kids? did they becom king and qeen i mean they should think of theses things befour flying of the handle and being lazy but i will watch the tv show becuase i love the lion king but its sad they made the film for little kids disney is for all ages so im very dispointed they should have made a real movie not some little kid show i hope your happy disney you dont even care about us teens anymore
