Have you ever had to babysit someone older than you or have been babysat by someone younger? How did it make you feel?

I i used to babysit my older cousin ,from the age of 12 and he was nearly 14, i think his mum thought he was to immature to be left alone, he wet the bed too so he was still put in nappies, he had a strict 8pm bedtime too. I had to make his bedtime drink and tuck him in and switch the light out. Later on i had to check on him and make sure his nappy was ok. I remember feeling really grown up, i think he just felt embarrassed by it all, especially having to wear a nappy in front of his younger cousin.

I am a 15 year old guy and my mom doesn't trust me to be alone She has the 12 year old neighbor girl to visit and keep an eye on me when she goes to work. The girl blackmails me threatening to tell my mom I tried to have sex with her.She makes me take my clothes off and spanks me.It is really embarrassing when I get an erection.

I had a babysitter, till i was 16 usually one of my mums friends. Embarressingly i was still in nappies for bedwetting and had an 8.30 bedtime. Sometimes she would bring her daughter with her, who was 2 years younger than me. When they arrived i was ready for bed, in pyjamas and nappy or t shirt and nappy .she would often let her daughter put me to bed. It is very embarrassing and humiliating being put to bed 8.30, still in nappies at 16 by a 14 year old.

Yes, few times I babysat a boy older than me. He was 17 months older but much smaller and weaker than me. He was a neighbor and the mother didn’t let him alone in the evening. He still had diapers at night. For me, the age wasn’t a problem at all. And I don’t think he was embarrassed to by babysat by younger girl. I think he just accepted the situation.

Yes I had babysitters through my teens and eventually had a few who were younger than me. I was very small and young looking. Even in my late teens people thought I was 12. I had some learning disabilities, especially with motor skills and had to take some special ed classes. I was raised by a single mother who worked all day and went out with friends a few nights a week so I was left with a lot of babysitters. By my teens I thought I could easily stay home alone but my mom was convinced I needed a babysitter. She said I was too immature to stay home alone.

My mom exclusively hired teenage girls to babysit me, they seemed to be the main sitters at the time. As I got older the ages of my babysitters stayed the same, usually 14-17. As I became a teen I started worrying I would eventually have a babysitter younger than me. This seemed unnaturalural to me. My fears manifested themselves when at age 15 I had a 15 year old babysitter.

On the first night a new babysitter younger than me (or around my same age) came over my mom would explain that I was very immature that's why I still needed a babysitter. Sometimes she would point at me and say "look at him, does he look 16? This was very humiliating and I got she overstated how immature I was. Yet believe it or not there was something good about this. It took away a lot of the awkwardness of the situation. It made it seem like there was a reason I still needed a babysitter. Plus looking so young my sitters always looked older and more more mature to be which helped things seem more natural.

Still it hurt my pride having to be watched by someone younger than me and having to take orders from them. By far what bothered me the most was bedtime. Heck, even when my babysitters were 5 or 6 years older than me I didn't like being told to go to bed. But having someone you ger than me do it really hurt my ego. I would usually test them the first night.

What I noticed if they were firm about bedtime (and strict and bossy in general) I actually felt more comfortable with them. It just felt more normal to me and I stopped thinking about ages. There were a couple who became regulars and after a few nights I was amazed how normal the arrangement seemed. I didn't see them as a slightly younger peer but genuine authority figures.
