Spurs are up almost 30 at halftime. Who would've guessed that a blowout game would end up being the best thing on TV on the night of the Sopranos finale? Unbelievable.

It makes you think, life does not end in a box with a bow. Why would the Sopranos?

i think they had a bit of a laugh at the audience with that ending. i think thats why it annoys so many people.

I get this feeling that they're gonna go against what they originally said and make a new season where Tony is dead. Just have this feeling that the guy that walked into the bathroom at the end was gonna come out later with a gun! He looked a bit suspicious.

Pretty ending though...

I was so surprised. I thought someone sat on the remote so I was spazzing out until I saw the credits. I next day I was singing "Don't Stop Believin'" all day! Loved this show...

Best Ending Ever!
readyable picked Best Ending Ever!:
like almost everything in The Sopranos they foreshadowed the ending long in advance.. tony and bobby on the lake.. "bet you dont even hear it" (regarding getting clipped), opening shot of final episode looks like T laid out in a funeral parlour. to those who would've liked to have seen it happen, where would they have gone from there? Carm and kids in hysterics, cut? funeral, cut? none of these would have looked any good. as soon as T's gone we see nothing more, just as it should be. great way to end it, only way to end it.

Just watched the end of the series on DVD. The ending is very double to me. On the one hand it leaves everything open to your own imagination. On the other hand it just stopped to abruptly which disappointed me a bit. As viewer you have the choice to believe Meadow comes in, sits down and there is a happy ending. Or you choose the horrible scenario that the guy who walks into the bathroom earlier comes out and shoots Tony just before Meadow is at the table. That´s why the screen goes black from Tony´s point of view. You pick ;-)

The ending was inconclusive. I guess they wanted to leave a possible opening for future movies, or a reunion special, or a sequel?

That's what David Chase likes to do. Too much explaining can ruin anything. If you think the ending was bad, YOU ARE A PEDESTRIAN. people say the same inconsiderate bull hockey about Vanilla Sky and Pulp Fiction as well as other Sopranos episodes like Isabella.
