...i do think he loves elena and she loves stefan but i think that maybe it isnt as true a love as they think, we've already seen that theres a connection between elena and damon its a question of which is the strongest. personally i would say Delena because damon doesnt have anyone and never has, not really.he never seems to fall in love completely with anyone except with elena, which might have started out as just messing with him brother to love. where as i think that stefan just need 'someone' and it could be someone other than elena. and damon though has loved before it was unrequited where as it's obvious that elena does love him back.
(there may have been romance between damon and rose but she died, so it's irrelevant)
