Does Elena become a vampire?Someone answer. I'd read the books but I have no time.

In the book she does become a vampire but then is changed back into a human. Not sure if they're gonna to have that happen in the tv show.

Heres a summary of one of the books:

The Return: Nightfall
Elena Gilbert is alive—again.

Stefan wants to find a way to keep Elena safe so that they can make a life together. Damon, however, is possessed by a "malach", and unwittingly makes a deadly bargain to Stefan with two twin demons. In exchange for Elena, the life of his brother is now in the hands of the Japanese demons. To imply that Stefan left, he writes a forged note and leaves it in Elena's diary.

A heartbroken Elena presents her devastated friends with the letter; all of them believe the fake note. Only Matt has doubts on the note supposedly written by his best friend. "Judgment" is spelled by Stefan "Judgment" and by Damon "Judgement". He too succumbs to the mintly written letter. Damon, pleased with the kidnapping of his brother, searches for Elena to seize his chance to make her think he is meant with her. He is still very much possessed.

While Elena and Matt are investigating the possession of Jim Bryce's sister Tamra, Bonnie and Meredith do not understand why Stefan would leave Elena and them alone in this desperate time in full knowledge of the dangerous darkness infiltrating town. They stress how unlike him it would be to just up and leave. They are uncomfortable and decide to go back to the boarding house where Stefan lived.

Matt and Elena leave the Bryce home, while they are kidnapped by Damon and the twins. The spirit possessing Damon is being more evil than usual so he orders Damon's mind to threaten Matt and Elena's life. He proceeds to make Elena and Matt perform intimate acts. The former couple complies in fear for their lives, but Elena often tries to persuade Damon that it is not him saying those things.

Back at the boarding house, Bonnie and Meredith search Stefan's room. To their horror, Mrs. Flowers tells them she discovered a duffel bag in her garden stuffed with Stefan's clothing and possessions. Sure that he has been harmed by Damon, they search the computer base for a back up file to the note written by "Stefan." Because Damon had failed to save the changes to Stefan's true letter, they discover the real letter written by Stefan to Elena, saying that if he did not return he has been harmed and a link to a vampire website. Horrified, enraged and worried the two girls vehemently search for Matt and Elena's whereabouts only to be stopped by a possessed tree on t

in the show no idea!! but in the books she bacomes a vamp and then katerine kills her well katerine dies too. but then elena comes back from the other life!! and she is human again but with some other power she has wings!! and when she kisses the person who is hurt she heals them!!

In the book she becomes a Vampire. In the Fury. She already had to much of Stefan's blood and Damon's (according to the book) so she didn't really die, she's a vampire.

The books and the show are completely different so to tell you the truth I don't know about the show, but yes in the second book she kind of did.

In the Struggle at the end she becomes a Vampire. In the Fury she's a Vampire. But then she changes back into a human.
In The Return: Nightfall, I think she is still human, I have only read the first few chapters on the internet.
There are still two more to come out so no one knows if she becomes a Vampire again.

well in the book shes turns to a vamp in the second book too.but i've been wondering the same question does she turn to a vamp in the show well that i do not know srry

yes, elena does become a vampire but it is more by damon he happened to give her more of his blood before she died. But she does not stay a vampire for long because she dies. Then later on she comes back as a human but she gain a power that all vampires are attracted to here.

yah sh does in the books but she dies as a vamp trying to save stefan and damon.... but she comes back as an angel being... she has super kool powers..... oh and she dies like 2... no joke and im like dude how many times u gonna die

i have read all the books and yes elena does turn into a vampire and she is supposly killed by damon when she has stefans blood in her system and then stefan is super raged and goes after damon but does not succed and thats all im gonna say

She does actually become a vampire but then she dies (because she burns in the sunlight after a fight with Katherine when she tries to save Stefan and Damon.) and comes back as a human.

It's really complicated. She does turn, then she's human again, and this goes on forever, but in the end she is human with powers I think

Yes she will turn to a vampire at the end of the the second book. But as we all know the show doesn't apply all of the books storyline.

In the tv show Elena does not come back as a Vampire because her real father,John gives his human life to her and he dies.

She does become a vampire because she dies with both Damen and Stephen's blood in her system on Founder's Day. When she does turn, she is convinced it's Damen she's in love with and can't go out in public because everyone thinks she's dead. Elena's afterlife is however short lived because Katherine captures Damen, Stephen, and Elena and Elena then pushes Katherine and herself into the sunlight, sacrificing herself for both of the Salvatore brothers.

In 'The Fury', she becomes one after the Other Power chased her off Wickery Bridge, because she had exchanged enough blood with the Salvatore brothers, so she turned into a vampire, instead of dying.

Yes she does. In both the film and book. In book 1 she becomes a vampire and in season 3 episode 22 (The departed). She also became a Vampire.

Elena became a vampire at the end of season 3 when she bled from inside and Meredith had to give her some of Damon blood so that she would recover but Matt and Elena drove on the same bridge as her parents when Rebekah stood on the bridge and Matt swinged the car so that he won't hit her and went of the bridge then Stefan came 2 save her but she showed him to take Matt and save him first. He was 2 late for her and she died with Damon's blood in her system and became a vampire!!!

In the books she does become a vampire. so far were I'm at she has been human then she became a vampire then she died and communicates to bonnie as a spirit and then she comes back as an angel and then she becomes a human again. i have not read all the books yet but so far that's what has happened.

Elena became a vampire by a car crash into to the bridge her parents died told Stephan when he came to save them to save Matt first as he was human and had little human blood left so Damon had to give some of his vampire blood to her to stay alive Matt survived and Elena was sired to Damon .

In the tv show she does become a vampire, because her car crashes in the lake of whickery bridge, just like her parents. Stephen(her true soul mate) officially came to the rescue but Elena made him save Matt. Just as everyone thought Elena's life had ended, as her crumbled body lay upon a hospital bed, her eyes fluttered open. She was no longer human, due to Dr Phil giving her vampire blood from her recent accident and Elena was now....A VAMPIRE.
