\'The Vampire Diaries\' Season 6 trailer: Elena can\'t get over Damon

Much like fans of "The Vampire Diaries," Elena simply can\'t get over the fact that Damon is actually gone. In the first teaser trailer for Season 6, it\'s plain to see she\'s still grieving, and has even devised a way to see Damon.

What isn\'t clear is how real the visions of him she\'s seeing are, though his message is clear: She needs to move on with her life, now that he\'s gone. Viewers even get a quick glimpse of Damon at the end of the teaser, at least.

It\'s going to be an emotional ride when "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 premieres Thursday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
